really pleased with the performance, as it is my first SSD.

I don't think its wise to spoon feed. They should know where to find it.

Anyone knows why my read/write speeds for SSD are terrible when I plug to my desktop. On my laptop with SATA 1 it seems to be okay , on desktop its horrible

Finally installed my new Crucial M4 256Gb SSD (via ronaldjoe). Very happy with the performance. Now transferring some files from backup hdd. Sure is smooth. Its my first SSD, so obviously on cloud9.

Looking to purchase a SSD within this month, which one is highly recommended?

3.Crucial M4
4.Intel 520 / 320
* Preferably 64GB~120GB only.*

Planning store OS (Windows 7, 64bit) and some light application into it to insure smooth loading and restart time, other application such as games etc will go into my HDD.

My Casing has 9 3.5" HDD docks and 6 SDD 2.5" docks, so cooling and locating is not an issue for me.

could be stupid question but will SSD speed up virus scanning?

I plan to grab Crucial M4 128GB but might be a bit tight since I just got a tablet so might opt for 64GB version.

What can I store within 64GB? Windows takes 20GB and I left 30-40 for apps?

Just wondering if I use shell link, will it slow down my startup time?

Currently, my OS is on 640GB hdd, 410GB free. I got Kaspersky and Rainmeter in startup only and it take like around 5minutes for everything to load up. I deleted files, defrag, ccleaner everything and even did disk check and still like this.

Just happens in bootup even I tried disable Kaspersky still takes damn long time. Normal usage etc are all ok.

I will get a Crucial M4 to test a bit.. Cause buying others is a little bit inconvenient for me right now..
hope it wont disappoint me
