Big bro is described as "jobless". Does this mean he just sit on the couch and watch TV for 15 years? Or he did not get a nine-to-five job, but did other kinds of jobs? There are many people like this. People with stalls in pasar malam. People selling char kuey teow from a stall in a shop.
Perhaps he had lousy results in school and cannot get any job that pays enough? Would little bro respect him more if he got a job as a janitor that pays RM700 a month? He wouldn't describe him as "jobless" but might call him "stupid" instead.
Perhaps big bro got into lots of "projects" and none worked out. Then he had an idea for yet another business, and convinced mom and dad to "invest". Then big bro convince dad to transfer ownership of the house. Maybe he charged it to raise more funds. Who knows. Little brother would be understandably peeved once he finds out that the parents have given all their money to big bro. He wants a share of it.
The new project hasn't failed yet. Little bro is convinced it will, due to big bro's poor track record. He thinks it's just throwing away money. But of course big bro does not agree. He wouldn't embark on it if he thought it wouldn't work. Or perhaps it's just starting to go sour, and big bro blames little bro for all the pessimistic talk. Maybe he thinks little bro has cursed his new biz with all the negative energy.
After festering for a while, this blows up in a big argument. And big bro gets his palls to evict little bro. At least he sent all the belongings to the new house. Not just throw it out the gate.
To avoid this problem, I tell my parents to not even try to pass on a big inheritence. They should just spend it all. Go for holidays. Buy stuff. Spend it in anyway. I have only one sibling. We will share their house if we outlive both of them. If they spend all their money and still live for decades, we will take care of them. Neither of us are rich. The holidays will have to be further apart once the money is gone. But we will pay living expenses, medical fees, etc.
