1. please READ each step carefully and get rough idea what will you go through. eventhough this is step by step guide, there is chance that i miss some steps because i wrote this guide retrospectively.
2. other important things you can read/download
___1. siuyi guide to root (can be found at first page)
___2. wotan server (if you have fw .62 or above, you have to downgrade to .58 or below) -
http://www.wotanserver.com/en___3. flashtool -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10879507 3. Info, guides, roms for xperia pro are relatively smaller than other xperia. so many steps here are refered from other xperia phone such as mini pro, arc, and neo.
4. you may/will/have to lose data. so backup thoroughly if you want your data. (this took me most of the time)
5. make sure your phone is fully charge at all time.
6. *extra* can refer my checklist

1.rerware's mybackup - good backup software for non-rooted phone. however for apps, mybackup only backup the apk. problem with restoring data. the option is there but i've tried and i fail. can backup sms pretty well too!
2. titanium backup - good backup software for rooted phone. very good backup for apps and data, but tricky interface. can backup sms but i prefer rerware's mybackup to backup sms because it's easier to backup sms using rerware's mybackup
3. nandroid. this is trickiest, but very important. there is many way to do nandroid backup, but you have to google for it. the only way i know is by doing it in recovery boot. that mean, nandroid can only be done in phone with root access and unlock bootloader.
4. despite backup, you have to save/sync/export your data one by one for each apps. it's painstaking (and very leceh) process, but very valuable and rewarding because you have new os but with same apps and data.
Downgrade by wotanserver - for those who have fw .62

Step by step to install CM9 FXP109 (7/3/2012)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
1. save, backup and transfer your data to computer.
2. make sure the phone is firmware 0.58 or below. refer wotanserver for downgrade instruction.
3. root and unlock bootloader. refer siuyi's guide on first page.
4. usually at this stage, i'll format my sdcard through phone (setting>storage>erase SD card). it's easier to work with fresh phone. so i'd say make sure you have save/sync/backup your data and copy to your computer, then reset to factory setting (this one im not sure how)
5. now your ready to install CM9!
6. now switch your phone if it still on.
7. transfer updatexxxx.zip and gappsaddonxxx.zip to sdcard (using cardreader of course)
8. flash kernel by using fastboot. this is similar as how to boot fastboot to root in siuyi guide, but using boot.img from cm9 folder instead. but for clear guide purposes, i'll write step by step.
9. unzip xperia-pro-root-recovery.zip, unzip updatexxx.zip. copy boot.img from updatexxx folder to xperia-pro-root-recovery folder.
10. open cmd at xperia-pro-root-recovery folder (to do this, right click on xperia-pro-root-recovery folder while holding shift, and select "open command window here"
11. on your phone (still switch off), hold MENU button to boot fastboot (not to be confused with service button for wotanserver client which is BACK button). blue LED will on. if green LED, mean you hold the wrong button.
12. back to cmd, run "fastboot flash boot boot.img". press enter and wait till the phone is boot.
13. when the phone is booting, (FreeXperia logo) press volume down key several times to enter recovery
14. choose apply update from sdcard and select updatexxx.zip, wait for the rom to be install.
15. then choose apply update from sdcard and select gappsaddon.zip, wait for gapps to install.
16. wipe device - select 'wipe data/factory reset' and 'wipe cache partition', in 'advanced', select 'wipe Dalvik Cache' and 'wipe battery stats'
17. return to main menu, select 'reboot system now'
18. PLEASE BE EXTRA PATIENT HERE. i know you'll be very excited, but yes, the 1st boot take time. (i think 15-30minute, but if more than one hour, there might be problem). while waiting the phone to boot, enjoy the boot splash image, and say to yourself, your are not stuck at boot loop. heh.
19. VIOLA! enjoy new rom
Flash baseband
