sure, go ahead..

Added on February 13, 2012, 9:30 ami found the u9gt2 is preferable compare to vi40, especially from the user feedback in china website and forums.

Added on February 18, 2012, 2:03 pmfinally i bought the Cube U9GT2 for my 1st tablet...
it is a china brand (www.51cube.com). After months of comparison and review.. i decided go for this brand and model, although the spec is lower than onda vi40, but the negative feedback of vi40 is much much higher by the china users compare to u9gt2..
i got it from my fren in china at the price of rm820 compare to 1000++ to buy in malaysia.
Need to take the risk of warranty lo smile.gif

Hopefully I will post some reviews and user experience to share with you after i get it..
Thanks for all your feedback and answer for this thread..thanks

sorry that i was quite busy recently and didn't post any review here.
so far i used, the PRO of the tablet are:
1. large (same size as ipad2) to read and play games
2. good support from Yuan Dao and Cube, frequently get new firmware update (surprisingly, firmware from either N90 or U9GT2 can be used for this tablet and works well.)
3. responsive multi touchscreen
4. camera so far so good, so so quality 2.0mp, but better tan Ipad2
5. by using firmware, you can simply increase the RAM to 3GB, but your storage will reduced as well. Important if you used A4.0 ICS
6. the storage is large enough (16gb)

Cons:
1. lagging sometimes
2. short battery life ~6hours with wifi on
3. Android 4.0 - can't move the apps from RAM to SD card
4. Android 2.3 - need to use physical buttons to home or back (but this can be resolved by installing Button Savier 1.41, you can get virtual buttons on screen)
5. low volume even set to high
6. not yet test the video playback and quality
7. quite heavy to carry while reading or playing games, ur hands will feel tired.

Great review. I was thinking of getting the Cube also but there doesn't seem to be any sellers in Malaysia. Onda vi40 also looks nice but prices have been going up a lot recently.

Just wanted to ask a quick question. How do you find using the Cube to read pdf's, ebooks and/or comics. Main reason for me to get a tablet is because I think it's easier to read than on an LCD screen.

i found seller here, but the price far too expensive, it was somewhere at 1000 - 1200 in lowyat and lelong. fortunately i can get a cheap one from china. risk of warranty lo..
u can simply installed a cracked apps expdf reader to read pdf, comics, epub...no worry
the size of this tablet is just nice for reading book..

but ipad2 price is dropping to 1200 now, might consider it again.

Tumpang tanya, if want to transfer files from PC to Ipad - easy or hard? Seems like very hard.

All my files are PC based - movies, comics and pdf, dunno whether easy to transfer. Seems like USB port also cannot use? True?

Depends on price lor. On a tight budget, just want to use to read e-book mainly. blush.gif

Hope the unit so far is ok, cos' definitely no warranty liao... once u pass to me. If you're planning to buy Ipad2, no point hanging on to the Cube right. Hope you are in KL, cos can COD mah rclxms.gif

Hey, thanks for the kind offer. I think it would be troublesome for you and your friend to do this. But if you ever plan to sell your Cube or get your friend to get another one, let me know. Maybe I can tumpang. biggrin.gif
