xpro1 price i check around all gave me RM6-7k which i really dont feel like swallowing it down. Maybe the overall package not attractive enough if it were a twin lens package than i might consider with that type of pricing.

Then Sony came out with RX1 which is god like after looking at its picture with 25600 ISO..... pretty shocking result it has now will wait and see which better before buying.

Hi all, just one simple question, should I buy X-E1 now, or hold until the price bit 'stable' ?

Been eyeing for the X series since the X100, then X-Pro1, and now the seXy-onE.

All have sold my d300s and other gears sweat.gif

You can try Boeing... Saw a black one in Empire. Was informed they also have two silvers in stock as well.

High ISO test by DecQuinas, on Flickr

ISO 4000. Was under pretty harsh lighting conditions (only light source was two yellow lamps).

Still pretty impressive IMO. Although my friends face is a little "burned"...

Anyhow, I think the weakness of the X-E1 (or the X series line up without the new lenses in general) is that the focus hunts alot in low light. Never shot during the day yet with the X-E1, but currently I've been facing focusing issues in low light conditions and that annoying aperture sound of the lens. EVF lags when trying to focus in low light too (framerate drop).

But still a great camera... Really like the lens too.

I was the first one to view their unit. X-E1 body is much lighter than expected but the 18-55 has a nice weight to it. Unfortunately I was looking for silver.

I got my XE-1 a few weeks back with the XF 35mm F1.4. I can say that i'm loving it. Previously I was using a D90 and the new XE-1 comes in a great size and a lot easier to take around.

Focus takes a bit to get used to. Sometimes it hunts around and sometimes it gets the focus outright wrong. But the image quality makes it worth it and the focusing is something that you learn to compensate for after a while.

I'll post some pics here. All straight JPEGs without any post-processing.
