What is the best antena for facing low reception due cell tower far away for mf 680?
*
Hi there,

We would suggest our mono-directional ones and the best would be

a) 15dBi Panel Antenna
Link http://andrewsestore.com/store/15dbi-panel...le-antenna.html

b) 12dBi Yagi Antenna
Link http://andrewsestore.com/store/12dbi-yagi-...le-antenna.html

Hope that helps.

I'm prefer the PORTABLE one. That can fit my 17" lappy bag.
I assume both is good if not better in term of signal reception.
Thanks
*
Hi again

Yagi and Panel is mono-directional, therefore it will suitable if it is going to be placed somewhere permanently.

If you opt for something portable, then it will be OMNI antennas.
However, OMNI antennas' are to prevent blockages when you are already at a good coverage/reception area.

This is something you would need to consider before purchasing according to your needs.

is there any problem if I just position the Yagi/Panel at some place where I can better signal? I mean not permanently, just put it there (maybe with double tape or easy-to-remove-way). I need this antenna in for my house and office..
*
Hi there,

Mounting kit is provided for both Yagi and Panel.
You may choose not to use it if you want the antenna for mobility purpose.
Must be extra hardworking to attach and detach all the time wink.gif

Hope that helps.

Hi there

Answering your questions as below

1) Is the 15dbi panel antenna has detachable 5m cable
I m worried about signal loss due to the long cable

- No, the antenna comes originally equipped with 5m cable, therefore it is not detachable.
As for your concern on the signal lost, not to worry as this was approved by our supplier after
proper research and development.

b) 2) Which one has better latency, yagi or panel
I heard panel has better ping/latency, i m gaming online so need confirmation from someone

- We will post results here tomorrow on both the antenna in order to clarify your doubt.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your interest on your products.

hi andrew... noob question... none of the specs mention LTE. does it means these antenna give no effect to LTE signal?
*
Hi there,

Yes, the antennas we have currently only supports for frequencies up to 3G where it consists UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+ and DC-HSPA+.

As for LTE, we will be supplying antennas to it once it is up and running nationwide when and where it is more commonly being expanded.

Hope that helps.

it looked good when i checked my coverage on maxis website..
but when i use it at my home...
couldnt even load google..

Hi again

When you mention, outside of your house, if it is not too far, we will recommend you our 10dBi OMNI antenna.
Being multi-directional it is essential for use on a repeater or network base station.
Commonly used for covering range in near distance.

Hope that helps.

Kind regards smile.gif

is omni will help ?
*
Hi again

As mentioned earlier by you that the coverage indoor is bad but good outside of your house,
yes, in this case OMNI will help you prevent the blockage that you are facing.
This is only applicable if your area is equipped with good signal, coverage and speed.

If your entire (indoor and outdoor) area suffers from bad signal, coverage and speed,
we would recommend you to go for Yagi or Panel antenna.

i think i better go with yagi....is it bulky ? if i do speed test at outside my house...i can only get 1.5mbps...
the full speed should be around 5++...what do u think ?
*
Hi again

Yagi is not bulky, but it is long.

You can view all our antennas and specs from http://andrewsestore.com/store/accessories...al-antenna.html

It is very difficult to judge on the speed that you may obtain as it involves many factors.

However, based on your reading, it shows HSPA+, therefore with your device (MF70) you should be able to obtain up to 21.6Mbps,
provided by the maximum transmission speed of your plan.

You should see significant improvement.

Hi there

Unfortunately, only the cables to OMNI and Panel is long.

Yes, the Panel will be suitable if you get the TS9 pigtail as an additional connector.
