Dumping your ROM means to create a backup of it, so one can use some parts of it to cook a custom ROM. This is NOT for any casual user to do○ Galaxy Nexus V3 ○, latest Google flagship

QUOTE(wiraone @ Jan 14 2012, 08:59 AM) I thought it comes with free shipping? I believe the one sold on China streets might be a copy with no proper casing, that is why it is so cheap. I am looking for a leather flip case now, Melkco looks good but waiting for local dustributor to bring it in. You can buy online from carrymobile.com ( Melko authorized online reseller ) - very reliable and trustworthy. Bought Melko cases from them few times. I ordered mine the black Jacka type - expecting to received it next week. Their prices quite similar to local retail priceshttp://www.carrymobile.com/catalogsearch/r...?q=galaxy+nexus |

QUOTE(Pbbseller @ Jan 14 2012, 09:44 AM) Yeah man, actually wanted to get the export UK set but decided to wait out for the local release. Glad I made this choice, been using iphones since the first gen and I'm sold on android Use this GNexus toolkit : you can root, unroot, install CWM and even restore back stock rom etc. Very easy to useJust rooted the phone, wondering which CWM I should use, any sifu around that can recommend me? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310 |

You need ONLY one gmail account to sync all your contacts n calendar I dunno why you have problem - it is actually straightforward and simple. Go and recheck your calendar settings at Gmail |

QUOTE(acaptake @ Jan 14 2012, 12:52 PM) Trying Apex atm, wanna ask: do we have to clear battery stat with each kernel or ROM install? I'm not sure since GNex is totally different my previous phone. TQ Just clear cache partition and at advanced clear dalvik cache will doThere is no harm clearing batterystats if yoj wish to have more accurate battery usage monitoring |

Having used the sgsII n sensation xe which is much hotter the temperature in the gnex is nothing to worry about
Install eg batterylife widget to monitor. It should be fine even at 50 degree C though I had never reach it. The highest I ever recorded on the gnex is 40 |

How many of u have a yellow tint especially on white ? So far an owner said he is having tjat while the other said has a bluish tint. Mine is slight bluish tint - these tints never bother me ; I noted such also in my ex SGS II , SGS android tablets and SGS NoteYellowish tint makes the screen looks old. But i notice it is yellow if u look at it straight on. If u tilt to look from angle it becomes bluish and thus whiter. Is it a software calibration thing? Added on January 15, 2012, 10:06 am QUOTE(ArmedandDangerous @ Jan 15 2012, 09:25 AM) RIGHT and a very good answer. there is NEVER a one stop solution for cook roms. QUOTE(gurpreetsingh @ Jan 15 2012, 06:22 PM) I have stop using sp in my phones more than 2 years already. I prefer screen naked. My phones are well protected in casing which cover the front. Dont worry nowadays most screen are scratchproof to keys, coins and most stuff you put in pocket. You dont believe try scratch your screen with keys it will not. I have even tested with penknife drag it across screen. However fine sand grains could scratch it slightly |
