QUOTE(wiraone @ Jan 17 2012, 05:38 PM) AppleTV cost US$99 in the US before shipping/tax. So, for RM400 .. I believe its an okay price to pay. ok thanksAdded on January 17, 2012, 8:45 pmI have one more question. I have alot of Movie & TV Show in my iMac. Most of it is in avi and mkv format which I play with VLC in iMac. If I have all the video file in the iTunes, can I play it (stream it) with my ATV2? I worry on the codex. QUOTE(wiraone @ Jan 30 2012, 07:19 PM) There are quite a number of guides out there, search for 'firecore seas0npass' on google and you'll get what you wanted So (as with free method) I nee to:To JB, make sure you've the AppleTV connected via micro-USB and it shouldn't be connected to A/C power. The rest of the guide can be found in firecore's website. There is easier method to install XBMC but you need to pay for it.. to install XBMC through ssh, here is the guide: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW-T...C_on_Apple_TV_2 1. Jailbreak it with 'firecore seas0npass' 2. Install XBMC (media center) via http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW-T...C_on_Apple_TV_2 Thanks |

QUOTE(grandspy @ Jan 31 2012, 10:06 PM) yupAdded on January 31, 2012, 10:35 pm QUOTE(wiraone @ Jan 31 2012, 09:52 PM) Two ways: Ok will try. thanks1) I believe XBMC can play avi and mkv (haven't test this), if yes, you can mount your iMac filesystem from xbmc. Activate file sharing and use the guide here to get afp running on apple tv2: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=109723 2) Stream it, use Plex or vlc, guide to install plex media server can be found here: http://www.jailbreakmatrix.com/iphone-ipad...id-and-720p-mkv This post has been edited by FieldEngineer: Jan 31 2012, 10:35 PM |

QUOTE(wiraone @ Feb 1 2012, 05:51 PM) Ok, now, go to XBMC, videos, files. Add videos, select Browse, scroll down for ZeroConfig browser, add your ip address using: Ohhh... dah jumpa sbb. lupa nak set permission ke Everyone - Read Only. Sebelum ni, Everyone - No access.afp://youripaddress .. it should let you add the path. On mine, my shared Mac machine is listed without me specifying the afp://ipaddress manually.. QUOTE(wiraone @ Feb 2 2012, 07:09 PM) Nope, my server has a fixed ip. I'm no longer using my tm provided router. Do you have access to the router? If yes, check under network and see if you can have a static ip address there. Otherwise, just change your imac ip from dhcp to static (on your imac setting that it).. I change at my imac la. More easier hahahahaha. Any drawback? One more thing, now my xbmc is not nice anymore as got dead file in there. I can seem to delete the whole folder in there. Maybe uninstall xbmc and install it again with nitotv |
