^ Unless AMD going to release a 8990M with a Tahiti/Tahiti LE core, that 780M will sit on top comfortably. It perform almost on par with my 7950 on base clock.
Will Nvidia ever release a GK110 core on mobile tho? |

A GK110? we will never know. |

Iris Pro 5200 review is out. Sandwich itself in between GT650/640 and HD7660D on low resolution. From 3DMark11 scores, it sit on par with GT650 but real game performance is bottlenecked by poor memory bandwidth.
This is Intel's latest cream of the crop GPU, ayam not impress. 3DMark11 ![]() Grid 2 ![]() ![]() ![]() Saucesage : Intel Iris Pro 5200 Graphics Review: Core i7-4950HQ Tested - Anandtech.com This post has been edited by Acid_RuleZz: Jun 1 2013, 11:14 PM |

QUOTE(Amal @ Jun 1 2013, 09:31 PM) I remember GTX Titan (which is off GK110) is drawing 250W (?) TDP. Not sure if GK110 can actually be scaled down to run at lower TDP. If not, not sure if any laptop has that kind of juice to run it |

Yeah, both the Titan and 780 TDP is around 250w. I don't think we will see them in mobile since it is a very large GPU.

Saucesage : Intel Iris Pro 5200 Graphics Review: Core i7-4950HQ Tested - Anandtech.com QUOTE(Amal @ Jun 2 2013, 12:56 AM) I think the main selling point is it is sitting on the same 45W TDP as the CPU. So laptop brands can offset the cost of discrete GPU + additional cooling solution + additional space required to house the discrete GPU & cooling. That is quite a bit of saving there for brands. For consumers, the saving will be in the form of lower price of hardware + lower power bills. At 1366 x 768 resolution, it is very serviceable. Sooner or later, expect to see wave of 14" (the low end model) launch with it only without discrete GPU I am interested to see the performance of those HD50/46/44/4200 in ULT / ULX This post has been edited by nexus2238: Jun 3 2013, 01:27 PM |

is it worth to go from gt750m to gt750m SLI?
coz game benchmark show that it still cannot play fluently some games on ultra. |

QUOTE(ErgoProxi @ Jun 18 2013, 09:23 PM) is it worth to go from gt750m to gt750m SLI? The thing about SLi is that, you pay nearly x2 but you manage to utilize 1.3-1.8x only coz game benchmark show that it still cannot play fluently some games on ultra. This is especially medium to low range GPU as GT750M. Sound very cool, yes, but not really money-wise for me. You better go with single, strong GPU instead of 2 average GPU. At least with single GPU, you may squeeze all the juice needed from a sole source. |
