QUOTE(astria @ Dec 2 2012, 06:50 PM) 2. yes for AMD, in the form of APU (Accelerated processing unit)... look for AMD A-series APU... they ve great graphic (up to double the performance of Intel HD 4000), but lacks in raw CPU performance... still, a great choice for budget gamers... |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Dec 18 2012, 08:52 AM) AMD announced their 8000M series GPU. Excluding the "high end" 8900M. Aiya, don't be so harsh Sauce: AMD Announces Their First 8000M GPUs - Anandtech.com It look pretty boring. |

QUOTE(eugenelimys @ Dec 20 2012, 05:12 PM) Latest stable driver on Oct 22 has address lots of issue. Newer beta driver are available.7970M is about GTX675MX price level. Personally I think 7970M has more upside from driver improvement. If you have the money, go for GTX680M, still the single mobile GPU king (well until you see GTX680MX) |

QUOTE(eugenelimys @ Dec 20 2012, 06:05 PM) How about dual GTX670MX vs Xfire 7970M? I was planning to take illgear's RX17 cuz I wanted to play Crysis 3 next year with Max settings. Or if you have any suggestions, I am all ears. Crysis 3 is using the same CryEngine 3 as in Crysis 2.Single GTX680M or 7970M can play Crysis 2 at FHD high setting. xfire 7970M can handle Crysis 2 at max handily, can't see why it can't handle Crysis 3. |

QUOTE(eugenelimys @ Dec 20 2012, 09:22 PM) Due to the reason that i heard from others about the 7970M problems, is it ok if you tell me that whether does the problem still exist?? And are there any difference between having Enduro and without Enduro?? Thanks a bunch! Why don't you check with the "others" and see if they still have the "problems" after the latest drivers? Yes, having Enduro impact performance slightly (~ 5% from what I read), similarly faced by Nvidia with Optimus. |

Read this sneak peek into the performance of IGPU in Haswell.
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6600/intel-h...geforce-gt-650m We know Intel IGPU always scale with CPU (e.g. for ivy bridge, HD4000 of i7 run faster than i3). But man, Haswell GT3 IGPU "in mobile reference board" run Dirt3 close to GT650M "subjectively" in 1080p? I am a bit skeptical But for perspective, to run Dirt3 in 1080p, we need GT630M at least. This could get very interesting for those "high end ultrabook" that can't run game now This post has been edited by nexus2238: Jan 13 2013, 04:28 AM |

Some benchmark on the 8730M. Hang well in between GT630M and GT640M. That mean the 8750M in the Envy4-1204TX is pretty good value This post has been edited by nexus2238: Feb 15 2013, 03:29 PM |

QUOTE(DevBoyz @ Feb 18 2013, 03:22 PM) Guys, is the Nvidia SLI Configuration good? I've heard people said that it is not supported by most of the games, and it's a gamble because the driver for SLI configuration development is very slow? http://www.geforce.com/games-applications/sliPlease see here for full list of games that support SLI. Nvidia don't release separate driver for SLI, it's all part of its normal driver updates. Users who bought SLI components (which utilise the top end GPU) tends to be the most vocal in their complaints. Guess who Nvidia will entertain first? Review of HD8870M in the Samsung 7 series.
Blow GT650M, comparable to GTX660M, can even hang with GTX670M in some game titles http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Samsun...ok.89376.0.html Just love the competition This post has been edited by nexus2238: Mar 8 2013, 11:52 PM |
