Warm white is 830

When you buy bulb check the number, usually is like 820 (or was it 827), than 840 (845), than 865 (or 860). x20 is yellow like incandescent bulb, x65 is like conventional T8 light, x40 in between.

Off topic a bit... Do you guys use warm light or white light for your downlights? Or half-half?

Hi all, after house is finally painted and lamps installed, seems like my house is too bright, yellow, brown. My hubby said it's ok but I feel not right. Is it?

First pic is living room. The paint color I wanna buy not available, so I had to choose base on their catalog. Ended up my feature wall too light brown and other walls too yellow. Paired with yellow light, it's very bright. Im thinking to repaint feature wall to dark brown, or tone down with curtain or furniture?

2nd pic is master bedroom. Original color reddish earth for feature wall, others beige color. Again, with yellow light is too bright.
Tone down with furniture or curtain again? Actually I like this color during the day.
Sorry to say, it doesn't work for me. The featured wall, not so bad. But the yellow wall very difficult to 'match' with your furniture.
If i were you, i re-paint the yellow wall with timeless white color.
Btw, this is my personal preference ya. smile.gif

Aiya, need to repeat this question cause I really want to know.

My light in living room is actually donut shaped and inside got 2 ring bulb, one smaller than the other. Can I remove one of the ring bulb to tune down the light? Any safety issue?

Jollysheep, can't paint timeless white la because it's big area. That will mean I can't move in before cny already.

Should be no problem removing either bulb, if you remove one and other one doesn't work means they are connect in series.

Anyways I don't think your house is too bright from your pictures. A problem I see though if your lights seem to be too close to the ceiling fan, will make shadows of spinning fan.

Save the trouble. Buy one tong of paint and ask your painter to re-paint both rooms (except the featured wall). Can complete the job within one day. Then u can move in before CNY.
