Quota really impose after you hit 10GB ?

My area not listed on the Celcom's coverage area but i can detect Celcom LTE via my E398, do you think i can log onto LTE ?

You signed the modem package or just the simcard package ?

Thanks
*
If you can detect, you can use but need to get LTE enabled simcard from celcom (just like maxis).

I normally never hit the quota limit as I have 4 data only sim (celcom, maxis dan umobile), so not sure quota impose or not. (if you use celcom prime prepaid, i know how to avoid quota limit without using so called vpn brows.gif but only 3G).

Anyway, Celcom LTE use now don't think have limit, my cousin give to me to test (high rank personnel at celcom). icon_idea.gif

Last month I ask, celcom hold LTE registration until they come out with a new package. So far nothing new mention on website. Want to get help from my cousin but his office don't have celcom customer centre.

Easy.. based on my own experience...

when i bought LTE modem, I can see Maxis LTE but cannot connect. so I call them, twice, both person answer my call say, my line and package should able to use LTE already. 1 month still cannot. So I call again, so lucky I got someone told me that I need to change to LTE enable sim. Ask me to go to KLCC.

After that I went to maxis centre, ask for LTE enabled simcard replacement, but they say need to subscribe new package, my current package cannot use. Either get package with LTE modem (with contract) or take Surfmore if don't want to get the modem. Fine, I subscribe a new one without the modem but after 1 hour still cannot connect to LTE, only 3G can. So lucky still around so go again to complaints. FYI, they give me normal minisim even I already ask for microsim. They say should able to connect. LTE already enable for my account.

2 persons handle my case, one of them call up someone. After that change to microsim, instantly I can use LTE. I heard they talked to each that now confirm need to microsim and nanosim for LTE. So they don't know before I went there. doh.gif

OH... yes... I went to Maxis KLCC where in their website mention, if want to subscribe that the place to go. Yet the staff still not know what to do.

QUOTE
Who is eligible for this offer?

The Offer is available to all consumers with Mobile Internet above 1GB & with nano-SIM or micro-SIM. Customers using other SIMs (standard-sized) will need to swap their SIM at a Maxis Centre. No activation is required.
Really... my old package already 3GB but cannot simply change the sim... doh.gif

That the story when want to change the sim... I have another one about cannot use LTE in my area. Line slow like hell. Cannot use speedtest at all. Reported since 16/06/13... only 15/09/13 solve, in 3 months.... shocking.gif

I even ask for their engineer to call me and come down to my place to test. I have chat copy for this one.

Based on the feedback that we receive from the complaint where there were no abnormalities found on the complaint area as we check on the complaint area where there High number of users at complaint area which may cause the slow connection.
My simple question back to them:

So why still not upgrade your system to handle more user.

Kindly be inform that we are constantly expanding the U Mobile 3G/HSDPA coverage to new areas for our customer future convenience. However, this is not an overnight process. This will be an on-going process as our network is still growing. As a new telecommunication company it is always our highest priority to strive towards achieving the ever growing customer needs.

Honestly speak... I cannot use umobile at all now during working day. Slow connection normally will start around 9am until 11pm... sometime until 1am.

Rated speed will be the same but there some good and bad.

Mifi have battery so can use anywhere but use too long while connected to charger may cause the battery to become so hot. Hot battery won't last long. There is a case only can use for 6 months only. My MF60 already 1 year but I seldom ON for 24hours, switches ON only when needed. In fact only use with hp, there is a software in hp will turn off wifi when screen blank. When no wifi connection, mf60 will goes to standby mode, save battery and no heat.

PortaFi only can be use when you have a powered USB around you, like notebook USB, in car USB. When no battery so less heat generated, less heat better performance. If still need to use on the go, buy a small powerbank.

Mifi have 3 heat source - Wifi, 3G and battery (charging)
PortaFi only have 2 heat source - Wifi and 3G only.

Guys, I wanna ask how come my mobile partner cannot detect my ZTE usb Mf190 modem??

Do you guys have any solution? I tried uninstalling everything, but when I plugged my modem in, the windows cannot detect it, even if i install the driver manually. I then had to system restore to get the modem working, but only using the original Celcom Broadband Manager that autoruns when i first plugged in this modem into my PC (long time ago).

But now, when i uninstall the driver and everything and plug in the modem, nothing happens... someone helppp sad.gif

I will recommend E3276, connected up to 45 hours and not become hot at all.

I also have E398, but the heat sometime can't touch.
