Not UNIFI firmware. TL-WR1043ND_V1_110429.

Surfing, PPSHIT, Gaming.. basically everything common for students

4. Direct connection with cable to the router or Wireless?
Wireless. No chance for wired since the router is high up on the wall.

5. If Wireless, what's the approximate distance between your PC and the Router?
Distance is good enough to get 5 bars or just 4. Not relevant.

6. How many users using the router?
Around 12 clients.

7. What kind of disconnection are you talking about? Internet disconnect? Disconnection between BTU and Router? Disconnection between PC and Router?

8. What are the problematic symptoms you're facing? Just disconnection? Slow browsing after a certain time? Bad signal? Etc?
- Can connect but limited connection, can't surf and all.
- Cannot connect to the router despite the SSID being visible and full bars.
- Very slow loading of pages all of a sudden
- Signal strength suddenly dropping
- Sudden disconnect from router, then can't reconnect
*When I tried with DDWRT last time (can't remember which build), the SSID would suddenly disappear after long periods without a reboot. This might be related to DDWRT itself though...
The solution is simple, just reboot the router. After my last hard reset I have yet to encounter the 'cannot login to router GUI' problem.
I use the 1043ND as an AP (wired to gateway). The gateway is WR941ND. There is also a WA901ND (wired as well) connected to the gateway. The clients connected to 941ND and 901ND do not have the said issues.

The last time I had this problem was that it's unifi's fault not the router's. My connection has been rock-stable though.

What do you mean by 'unplugging' the WAN connection? did you take out the cable on the router and put it back in, or did you plug out the fiber wire from the modem and put it back in? Lack of info here methinks. There's always the probability of you getting a bad unit.

Speaking of which then, I'm going to write a mini-guide on how to revert back to factory firmware soon.

how did u resolve this problem last time? call up unifi? I an actually suspecting unifi fault since I've tested on so many different firmware and still getting the same problem. And I am planning to put in the DLINK if my last connection disconnected, but today is the 4th day and the unit is still up.

Anyway, I will reflash back to OPENWRT once you uploaded ur latest trunk.

^If it's UNIFI problem it doesn't really explain why you're unable to login to the router though.

I take it you did clear NVRAM before and after every flash right?

Could be Telekom or could be TP-Link. Did you try swapping back with the default router given by Telekom for monitoring?

I have manage to set up my TL-WR1043ND on OpenWRT and it is all working properly when connecting the IPTV directly to the said router.

The problem I am having now is I have only one (CAT 5E, CAT 6??) cable running from upper floor to lower floor and I have a media player which also require a direct connection to the router.

I am thinking of alternative connection making use of the original router (DIR-615) as shown in the schematic below.



How could I configure the 2 routers to work as above?

That is an idea and thanks for the info. Perhaps, I could custom one myself at home. From what I know, the LAN connection only use 4 of 8 wires within each cable. So technically, I could have 2 LAN ports through the same CAT 5/6 cable.

hmm, by using the official (stock firmware) iptv seem fine, wireless ok,

but the problem is i online 24/7 seem a little problem, my computer always will have limited access icon appear.

what i do was disable and enable back the wireless usb or restart my computer..

how can i online 24/7 without any this problem occur?? is kinda boring if i buy this router edi if the problem still occur for replacing this router with giving my this problem...
i do still wanna try the open wrt but how?? always stuck at the firmware upgrade....
