dont bother at muayfit. . its not muay thai, you do a lot of cardio stuff, good for exercising but you dont learn anything at all. try other more authentic muay thai gyms.

1) Merican muay thai
2) Kirsty Muay Thai
3) TNT kickboxing (not exactly muay thai)
4) Sparta Muay Thai
*
what do u mean by cardio? running? or non-sense exercise
as long as got kicking and punching thats a good start

Since that you've been to their trial session, would you recommend it to me then?
Just want opinion from someone who have been there for real  biggrin.gif

I'll look for a day for their trial nonetheless.
I'd prefer Muay actually. seems like the most practical self defense art to me so far.
Kinda of contemplating want to sign up for any class or not.
Afraid it'll be too aggressive for me to handle.

thanks for the insight anyways  biggrin.gif
*
Im planning to join on march, currently im on strength training at fitness gym
yes muaythai is raw thats y i like it but nothing aggressive here, its safe
but for MMA, its quite tough.. like wrestlemania

If you want to learn from real MMA fighters and learn many different martial arts, Muay Fit is ideal. But if you want pure Muay Thai, they may not be the best gym.
*
learn basic only..

depends on your goals.

perhaps you can tryout the classes at these places first and then make a judgment?

i know most of these gyms give out free trials.

but i was a member of muayfit and after a while, its not as fun anymore. small space, crowded, bad equipment.

merican is pretty good but its quite pricey.

right now im training at sparta muay thai at oasis, ara damansara. they are a tiger muay thai affiliate. and so far it has been great, they have two thai trainers in every class and the centre is really nice
hi mate, hows ur training in sparta muaythai
r u still there? how is it going

RM200 is cheap compared to other Muay Thai gym out there.
Unlimited Muay Thai class (depending on your level) , Muay Thai cardio and also their Fitz class..
And your trainers for Muay Thai is Krus from Thailand that have been training th art from when they are around 5-6 years old and also holds several titles in their fighting career...

What i know from surveying around is other Muay Thai gym's fees is at least > than 280++ and have only like 3 or 4 classes per week.
Membership at both gyms? really?
where do you train at now?
*
some muathai gyms are below 100/mnths n hv their own advantages
like muayfit u can get as 88/mths, class evryday n hv their pro. fight team u can train with them

i train at both icon_rolleyes.gif

It depends I guess, on ones preference. Whether to train from ground 0 up or to train with pros that drop by the gym and get tips here and there.

Now I'm curious as to who you are. Imma gonna ask my friend to do some investigating...  brows.gif

TS like I told u in /k/, few weeks ago got this dude complaining about MF and would not recommend it. I'm not sure how true but seeing some comments here I think ya la, probably its not the muay thai people expect. Is it true the class supposed to be 1hr but sometimes they made it only 30mins?
*
30 mins ftw? i join the sunday class for 3 hrs, 11am-2pm laugh.gif
MF is muaythai fitness/cardio, u dont expect them to train u to fight in d ring, if one want to fight he must join ghetto/hardcore gym
