On 2 alam animals, it is khilaf ~ some jurists say yes, some say no. Those who say haram bcos they interpret since frogs are forbidden, the same applies to other amphibians/2 alam animals (there's a specific hadith that prohibit eating frogs).

The rule is: Origin of all things is halal, except when it has been prohibited by the texts.

agreed. pipel in malaysia is stuck with syafie's or/and text book. pipel need to learn why it is haram or halal base on what, what principle it use.

yes there khilaf about this between Muslim scholar(ulama') worldwide but Malaysian ulama' accepted convention is 2 alam animal is haram or makruh(can but better if don't eat) thus on common people level like us, it is better to say it is not edible by Muslim. But I'm not saying I reject other ulama'...

wait I change my post from Haram to Haram/Makruh

doh.gif Alahai abang, itu bukan tidur... itu hanya sekadar UEC nap~

Saya pon boleh memandu di highway sambil terlelap selama 3-4 saat. Adakah itu bermakna saya tinggal/tidur di atas highway?
