Damn it, I miss proper food. Airplane food is sickening most of the time, and apart from my BCAA pills, I've been stopped once at the customs screening because one new guy thought my whey was cocaine or something..

QUOTE(theCrab @ Nov 7 2012, 01:11 AM) 're you a pilot or flight attendant ? Cockpit crew mate, and tell me about it! I don't wanna give excuses as I myself was/am the type who believes in making time for things that are important. I'm trying soo bloody hard to get everything back on track, I guess its a matter of time before I find the right balance for my current circumstance. Just need a little getting used to I guess since I'm still relatively new to the lifestyle, still an ikan bilis in the company, hence the high workload for now. working in airplane must be hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle Heck, I've been reading the threads here since I first joined LYN, and if someone like DL can find time, I'm pretty sure its a matter of time before I find the right balance. |

QUOTE(tunertoobe @ Nov 7 2012, 01:37 AM) OMG really? Hahaha, I feel ya brah. Nah, ok I wouldn't go as far as to say its literally sickening, but its definitely something anyone who's on a diet *most of us at lease*, would try to avoid. Everything is just so buttery and sweet, so most of the time, I just hantam the shrimp salad, or on the occasions where the first/business class passengers decide not to eat, there will be a wider selection of better tasting food. The bright side is that you can ask for the food anytime you want.. There were times when food available wasn't really any good, and they were like, freaking weird stuff and disgusting or not appetizing (I'm talking about my cafeteria at poli not long ago). I was (and still am) bulking, so I thought, "what the heck". I just learn to force down food no matter how crappy they taste, and just remember that it's nutrition. If it's nothing too bad nutrition value wise, I'd just cram it into my mouth. Unless if by sickening you mean, literally sickening. This post has been edited by vinesh22: Nov 7 2012, 11:53 AM |

QUOTE(Lemon @ Jan 11 2013, 10:46 AM) Hi, thank for all the compliments.. some of the guys at my local gym were surprise too, some even asked me did i take any steroid? but no i didn't. and ohh... i forgot to mention, that i completely quit smoking after the second week i started gym workout. Very good work mate, and the fact that you actually stopped smoking in the process, now that's another huge plus point. Kudos I think the reason I gained weight so fast is because i used to skip my meals before this, due to busy and poor appetite. but after gym workout, i forced my self to eat 6 meals per day (advice from a friend) i eat whatever nutritious and high in protein even before sleep i will drink a glass of milk and 5 half boiled eggs. I don't have any specific workout program, but i workout 3 times per week, 1-2 hours per session, i workout with light weight first, then increase to the heaviest weight that i can afford even i can do it for 4-5 reps for last set. once per week i will squat and dead lift. within 1-2 hours after workout, i will consume 5 eggs, then after 1/2 an hour, my dinner. |

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Feb 3 2013, 12:38 AM) Thanks. Well, I did a caliper check 3 days ago at 8ish%. I still have VERY VERY annoying stubborn bodyfat at the lower abs area. It's either due to cortisol buildup causing water retention or metabolic slowdown from chronic dieting. I upped my cals this week to a -10% deficit to see if it helps. The mini refeed of 5 plates banana leaf rice 2 days ago helped somewhat psychologically and maybe metabolically but we'll see. Hahaha, dude, you're unbelievable, hats off, really. The fact that you know your body damn well and play around with your macros to get what you want is really an eye opener, for me at least. Talking about water retention, do you control your fluid intake like some bodybuilders do pre-comp? |

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Feb 3 2013, 01:01 AM) Lol, the PT's in my gym think I'm prepping for a comp. I said nah, terlalu malas untuk diet kau kau bro. Then they gave me weird looks. The thing is it comes with experience. Which is why diets work to a certain extent, then it needs to be individualized to tailor to that person's body. You know what, imma start experimenting. I won't make drastic changes in my diet, but I wanna try and see whether I can find something interesting in the end about my body. I've always been one who's progress is best when I keep my carbs low and increase my protein intake a little. For th past few months however, I've tried stir frying veggies with olive oil instead of steaming them, and my bf has definitely dropped faster compared to what it used to. Now that you've mentioned what you just did, I'm starting to think that this might have been a catalyst or something to my fat loss. I went on the conventional moderate carb, low fat high protein diet. Didn't do shit for me. Mine is high carb, high fat, LOW protein. Can you believe that? Like.... some people are sensitive to fat, others sensitive to carbs, I get fat on too much protein. If I tell you how much my protein intake is daily you'll crap in your pants. Hence why there are diets like Dukan, The Zone Diet, Isocaloric Diet, Atkins, AD, Palumbo Diet, etc. They all work, if that person is suited for those macros. I'll keep it up for a week or two more and then revert to minimal oil. This is really interesting bro, thanks for the insight! |

QUOTE(azlalariffin @ Feb 18 2013, 11:29 AM) Compare his previous photos, and take his word for it. Btw, adding that lil' bit of healthy oils into 2 out of my 5-6 meals nowadays has clearly made me shed a few extra obvious spots of fat, well as far as my eyes can tell that is. Trying to keep a close eye even on the minute changes for my experiment.. |
