Yes Bent is not coming. Thank god. Vote for Jan Vertonghen and Luuk De Jong. If Kuyt is gonna go, then let's bring one or two Dutch into our team. I think the De Jong rumours have >90% of being true. With Liverpool and Chelsea rumoured to be bidding.

What's crazier is that there are rumours that Comolli and Ron Gourlay have been meeting discussing Torres' return to Ainfield. Apparently at the player's request? I call bullcrap but they did meet. Probably about De Jong? brows.gif

£30M LUIS SUAREZ RACE

LIVERPOOL bad-boy Luis Suarez is Europe’s £30million wanted man.

Top clubs on the continent are queueing up to offer the Uruguayan ace, currently serving an eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra, an escape route from his Premier League hell.

Full story:

LIVERPOOL will lead the £10million chase for Newcastle hot-shot Demba Ba.

Unlikely for Daglish to let go of Suarez. If Suarez does leave, then we're f****ed. No for Ba. Get a younger, cheaper and non-english striker and a RW/CM and get them fast.

Crisis after crisis since Daglish took the job. If this was any other manager out there, the chopping block would be ready by now. Just saying...

Sounds like you pretty dislike Kenny on helm, eh?

Did he cause all these crisis? Just asking..... rolleyes.gif

Bad timing. Just 3 days after 2nd leg of Carling Cup. We need to do extremely well in first leg so that we can rest our key players in 2nd leg and prepare for manu.
*
I wouldn't call what I feel about him as dislike... It's something closer to "prove yourself first" feeling. Sure he's a legend as a player, King Kenny, but as a manager he still has a lot to prove. 6th place + recent events do not make it easier. I feel he has it easy because of his past with us. He never gets criticized by the fans about his approach on the field. So yeah, I'm still doubting him as a manager.

a) 1st manager to win double
b) won only title for Blackburn

My suspicions

a) You are a Manc
b) You are a 12 year old kiddo
c) you have short memory-only 12 months ago we were in drop zone
d) You are a Roy Hodgson sin child

Go back to yer  Manc thread    nod.gif

Oh hi there. Welcome to the thread. Great set of conclusions by that 1 post Sherlock. What are you gonna conclude next? That I'm actually SAF posting in Lowyat? Bravo

If you can't bear to watch opinions other than the ones that glorify Kenny, I suggest you GTFO the forum internet at once.

QUOTE(koolspyda @ Jan 9 2012, 08:36 AM)
in light of the downward spiral we were in, KD without doubt. not even mourino or any "gifted" manager, special one, the F chum. Some might say after many year away from top flight, he may not have the "technical" how-how, ....football is football. yes, he doesn't rely on stats on a player like how rafa was obsessive with it. we have comolli to scout, makes a big decision on players, with KD in the loop. maybe, just maybe he have good players but comes a little short on something. At least we are a little better then having to offer only scraps or out of contract players for our bench/fringe to then our ex gaffer.

when it comes to man management, KD is probably closer to what many or some lfc fans wished for in mourino. Maybe a little too liberal to my liking if the supposedly stories of andy carroll binge... but it seemed more an 'english' problem right?? (drinking)

The players need to realise as much as KD treats them as adults, they need to understand their responsibility. I liked how a famous saying when shankly said to injured player, ".."Take that bandage off. And what do you mean about YOUR knee? It's Liverpool's knee!"

I dont know if such hardline discipline or comments along-these-lines work in today's football management. maybe its a 'scot'ish thing in saying'.

There is nothing for KD to prove, he was an obvious choice as our gaffer. Just hope few of the current players pull their socks up for Lfc.
earlier this season, there were comments we are playing (winning) without gerrard. then suddenly we seemed to lock back into how do we unscramble some teams, & we found gerrard a (far more) useful ammunition, as he gave us a plethora of dimensions in gameplay. thats steven gerrard for you. He's no messi, or [insert your other great player here] but he is certainly up there with the ranks of the great.
game on with the ManU in the next round, I say there is no better time to slay the devil!  bar of course we have overzealous refs who thinks only in red cards to be shown to any opposition to the devils. ('am just saying) wink.gif

Well said mate, especially the bolded part. It seem that Liverpool now is depending heavily on the veteran players; after all that investments. They need to step up their game and get up there with their seniors.

QPR really did sack Neil? I guess Tony Fernandes is an impatient guy, like most millionares out there. Warnock is not really suited to top-flight games if I must say. Just ask Graham Poll. laugh.gif

They are only 1 point off the drop zone and have won only 1 or their last 12 so I suppose there is come cause for concern though I thought the first out the door would have been Steven Keen

As well as Owen Coyle. Keen gets all the trashing and Coyle gets nothing even when his team in the bottom. I wonder how that works...

Yeah you all can accept him as the manager but is it wrong for me to doubt him? Each to his own matey. Just because you prefer and glorify him, doesn't mean everyone will. I'm well aware of the fact that he helped Blackburn with their first PL win but that's all in the past. We used to brag about our 18 league title and belittle our arch rival but now look who's laughing? When I say "prove himself first", that doesn't necessarily refer to all the fans. It's more to myself. Some people are just hard to pleased.

I think we should rob Newcastle of Demba Ba, I really like this guy ever since he was in West Ham, he really made scoring look easy during his time there and even more so now in Newcastle.
*
What happens with the new LFC "young, cheaper and high potential for the future" policy? We can get younger and cheaper players with what Ba is asking.

..and is anyone else is as nervous as me hearing the rumours European big guns are queuing to swoop Suarez from Liverpool?

prove himself?
Is not enough that Kennys won 3 league ttiles and two FA cups in his last tenure?
AND achieving the double in that time?
Is that NOT proof enough?

Since you are writing to yerself or expressing yer own feelings, best write it in yer blog, not in an open forum.

So in yer own words, you can GTFO forum.....    rolleyes.gif

Wow just wow. I am expressing my opinion and an open forum is not the place to do it? Which part of the post sounds like I'm talking to myself? What part of "expressing" you do not understand? I'm sharing my opinions. Jesus christ. You should listen to what you're writing. Talk about contradiction at its best. If you can't even write a decent argument, just save your words to yourself. It feels like i'm talking to an 8 year old.

Roy's Roy.  biggrin.gif
What i mean is hes not suited for the Big clubs.
Managing star players and yer ord ones are totally different.
Thereby he buys players like Konchesky and Poulsen while we had Spearing and others waiting in the wings.
Remember that Kenny had almost the same players as Roy except for Luis for Torres.
Carroll came in injured.

Plus if you had seen how he set up the players in  games, you would certainly know his limits!
At the turn of the year,Liverpool had their lowest points total since the 1953-54 season when
they were relegated. Grim reading.
Thus, the almost instant turnaround when Kenny took over.
i would venture to say that the players had little faith in Roy, the man who
almost brought Carlton cole to Anfield.....  nod.gif

Then again, maybe it was just the new owners seeing some deficiency in Roy and
confidence that Kenny can do the job better.

Maybe you are the 8 year old
Expression opinions attract responses. Thats what you would expect in an open forum on the net.
BUT YOU SAID(your highlighted quote, not mine)
Am i mis-reading. i dont think so............  rolleyes.gif
*
Well it attracted yours now don't it? What don't you understand about that bolded part? Obviously Kenny has proven himself to the lot of you but doesn't mean he can please everyone. I'm sure i'm not the only one feeling that way. Does that make it easier for you to understand or do I have to write in simpler English?

And Its my opinion that to say that Kenny has to prove himslef when he has already won THREE league titles
plus TWO FA cups and doing the double in tha time, is just plan nonsense!

I have no fking problem with whatever your opinion is and I would be glad to reply but writing response like...

d) You are a Roy Hodgson sin child

Oh yes I very much expected the flames but stupid trolls like you? Not so much.

Is there something wrong with me saying Kenny needs to prove himself as a manager? Was that an argument for me, not an opinion? Weren't you the one who said open forum is for expressing opinions? So what's your problem? There's my opinion. So just because he won those titles in the past, I can't say those kind of things?

Would it hurt writing a simple and strong argument instead of straight away concluding that I'm a Manc and all that crap? What heat? I don't have anything to defend aside from my own belief of the guy.
