If u plan to mod it and all that, either 1 will do. If stock, I suggest desire S for better performance.

I won't mod or anything. How about htc Mozart ? It looks OK for that price. What if compare performance between : htc desire , htc nexus one , htc Mozart .

For performance, Mozart will win. But some units got screen unlock prob, check this out http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2212718 . Some say is software issue, got some sort of ways to solve it through software tweaks or something. Some changed the touch panel and it was ok but after awhile it came back. Got 1 person changed the whole motherboard and it's okay for few months edi till now. The unlock prob will happen sometimes so if u really wanna buy, u would have to keep unlocking non-stop for many many many times to test. The prob seemed to have occured after the Mango update.

I suggest a used Nokia Lumia 710.

Ermm...no. It's running on the old winmo with inferior chipset, CPU and GPU. It's better to get a used LG optimus one at that price.

oh, i did not know about that fact for Android. no wonder almost all Android phone i look up do not have secondary camera. thanks for the info

heyz, can anyone recommend which phone should i get?

htc sensation xl, sgs2, sony xperia s or motorola razr?

a few things i look for in a phone:
- battery life
- UI/ web performance (laggy or not)
- money for value (which is worth their money)

additional info:
- use phone mainly for entertainment purpose (music, web browsing)
- prefer easy integration of social network

Best is S2 non-G AP set, ori set only got G version which is not that good. If must be ori, I suggest Sony xperia P. No point getting xperia S for your usage.

Or better still, Nokia lumia 800. Better integration of social network, but WP7 got some limitations la. One of the main ones are no mass storage and can't transfer files through bluetooth

Huawei ideos X5 or increase a bit for Nokia lumia 610. The lumia comes with free Nokia drive and maps yea .

don't really like AP set since if phone got problem then a bit difficult to replace any parts.

For high end phones, not worth it unless u want to use it for long term as currently quad core is not fully optimized yet. This is Android though, dual core still lags a bit so quad core = less lag. I'm not sure about u but I'm ok with some lags anyway, even I'm satisfied with the performance of my low spec-ed phone. I can tolerate with lags, also I prefer to buy cheaper phones so can change phone more often . I'm not sure about u though...

anyways usually when i get phone, i wanna use it for at least a year and half to two years before switching.

so far my whole life i've tolerated with lags. that's why now i'm looking for a phone which is lag-free if possible, or less lag.

i'm quite tight in budget as i'm still a student. but i wanna get a phone that last me a while. so i'm looking towards max rm1500-1600. otherwise i get s3 earlier edi.

just now call samsung ori shop at pyramid and ask bout s2 price. the guy quoted me rm1599. was wondering whether will it drop more after this or not.

I think 1-2 years xperia P is alright.

For S2, that 1 is G version wor. I dun think it will drop any further, quite cheap already. Not sure when they'll stop production since S3 already came out. Maybe got S2+ or something just like last time.

will do more research before deciding on xperia P. somehow i'm more leaning towards HTC and samsung.

been reading bout s2 G version and realised how bad it is. don't think will be getting s2 then. bout s2+, there's no news bout it since s3 came out. but there's a few people speculating that s3 is the "s2+"

No no no, S3 is definately not S2+ . I mean if we follow last time when S2 came out, S1 stopped production and S+ took over it.

Hmm...no major ones to recommend for Samsung/HTC. Maybe can wait for HTC one S around July maybe? Krait dual-core is fast!
