Please register me too.

Variant: 1.5 SE
Transmission: Auto
Colour: Mystical Purple
If it's SE Variant: Multimedia

*BTW i want to ask, what's the best color and model of tint that suited with My SE1.5 purple? quite confused in choosing the tint color and brand. The main criteria should be pass JPJ complaince, match the car color and within my budget (+-1.7k).
TQ in advance.
*
Why don't you try taking a look at Huper Optic which will cost you about 15% lesser than your budget, plus warranty against JPJ summons smile.gif
Colour wise, I think will suit your purple Myvi.

Yuubi is registered with my company..they intend to export their security lock abroad..huhu

Is the Yuubi gear lock of the same quality as the CONSTRUCT? AT the moment, CONSTRUCT does not have the model for the new Myvi Auto transmission.
Someone mentioned that Construct is of better quality.

anyone know how to solve this ?
*
are you referring to the sound from the brake when the car about to stop?
Just ask the P2 guys to "service" the brake pads. Problem solved. smile.gif
It's a common problem for P2 OEM brake pads.

what ever it is im going get it done...
my HU player still with them, driving with empty dashboard where i already covered with newspaper keke...

guys if anyone interested going for secure tint, count me in also..
few of my choice

http://www.agard.com.my/v1/aboutus.htm
http://www.tintmaster.com.my/
http://www.powercoolfilm.com.my/
http://www.raytech.com.my/products.html

we need to make sure go for good workmanship, otherwise the water bubbles get trap into tint...waste of money...
considering of getting it at HQ / BRANCH...
i believe security tint not cheap though...
*
It is important to have your car tinting done is a "clean" environment. This is basically an air conditioner enclosure with no exposure to smoking, etc. Have read of cases where cigarette ash got trap between the windscreen and the tinting film.
When I have my car tint installed, I avoided those shops that are tinting and carrying their other car accessories activities in the same shop space. This is basically asking for trouble although the guy will try to assure you that if there is any problem, they will rectify them. So, why take the risk in the first place.

As for security film, it is not expensive as what some suppliers would like car owners to believe. smile.gif

A noob question:

Which oil should I use for a new car? I'm planning to use Shell (coz very convenient for me, on the way to uni), and so should I use the 97 or 95 unleaded?
*
Are you referring to Petrol?

IMHO, anything but Petronas. My reason is that I was using Pertonas for more than 10 years. Then when I switch to Esso, I suddenly realise that the car has more power although using ron 95. I have never use Pertonas after that.

Just a curious question, I have made a booking for a 2011 MyVi model taking advantage of the discounts given.  Other than the standard check on TS first page, what other stuffs I need to check since this is a 2011 model?

Also, do you know of any sites that mentioned any problems with this model?
*
2011 model and 2012 model are basically the same. Just that one was manufactured in 2011 while the other is 2012. That's all.

This may be a deterrent but would not prevent. Anyone pro who is determine could just either remove & replace the steering wheel or just apply some acid into the steering lock's key hole & there goes the steering lock....

Do check and verify that using 3M for the front windscreen will not effect the Smart Tag, GPS if you uses them daily. From what I read and observed from my daily drive thru the toll booths, drivers have to resort to either winding down their window or having a small opening on the windscreen to overcome this problem.

HOptik 40 Side N Rear + HOptik 60 Front <- does this combo HOptik will absorb the saman as well? ive heard about 3M C70 have problem with Smart Tag, and this worries me much since im using STag in my daily routes.
*
That's what I installed on mine and the shop said that will cover JPJ summon.
Do take note that JPJ and Puspakom are 2 different thing. It seems that under Puspakom, any form of tint on the front windscreen is not approve. That's why you hear that those people who send their car (2nd hand) for the Transfer of Ownership inspection at Puspakom have to remove the tint before getting the approval.

got my car today and the mechanics left a masking tape on the steering wheel for alignment settings. When I took it off, the 'sticker' is stuck to the plastic already =.=

anyone got any ideas how to remove this? I've tried the cellophane tape technique but its not working...

Try using WD40.

"WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from the project that was to find a "water displacement" compound. They were successful with the fortieth formulation, thus WD-40. The Convair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts.
Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you."

Among the other uses of WD40 other than its lubricating function....

- Removes road tar and grime from cars.
- Removes tomato stains from clothing.
- Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots.
- Removes lipstick stains.
- Restores and cleans padded leather dashboards in vehicles, as well as vinyl bumpers.
- Removes all traces of duct tape.
- spray it on their arms, hands, and knees to relieve arthritis pain.

I wouldn't recommend WD40 on plastic surfaces - you may be stripping off more than the residue itself.
*
Don't know about you. But have personally used for that purpose and it really works. So, it's up to to you....

Well it's always better to use weaker solvents first before using out stronger ones. Generally if there's a product which is suited for it's purpose, it's much better to use it than using a product for it's secondary purpose if you get what I mean.

For stains on your clothes you use detergent. For tougher stains you use Dynamo. When nothing works you use bleach tongue.gif

Go read up about WD40 here.
