QUOTE(superdeemon @ Feb 8 2012, 09:03 AM)
Well, basically both are 4 doors hatchback with the exception of a sedan model too but not P2 Myvi, one being rounded all all angles, the other one is more of raked shape!
Difference in engine capacity is obvious though, being at 1.3 & 1.5. Whereas, Ford is being 1.4 & 1.6!
Comfort is the same i believed!
Quality is subjected how we look at it only!
Performance wise, Myvi should be better due already proven with the past years 1.3cc zig-zagging here & there, speedily fast on highway & byway...that's why it was the best selling car back in 2011!
Oppps, price also a big difference!

Conclusion, want better value for money whether new or used, Myvi will knock off almost all hatchback makers in the country:)!
*
So your final verdict is Myvi is a god sent hatchback to save malaysians from their miserable choices of motoring vehicles which is capable of outrun, outhandle and outperform cars from a Ford Fiesta right up to a Ferrari FF?

QUOTE(colinwong89 @ Feb 8 2012, 09:26 AM)
Superdeemon may have implied a little too much on his opinion, but I believe your choice of taking his words at face value - right up to comparing head to head with a Ferrari FF - by all means, too exaggerated. Let sleeping dogs lie.
*
Hwy, I'm just joining the exaggerating party. And now I got booted out from it. Damn.

QUOTE(superdeemon @ Feb 8 2012, 09:27 AM)
Well, there shouldn't be any comparison here in the 1st place as this is a Myvi topic page & in our life, we musn't comparing too as there's no limit in doing comparions anyway.

Verdict: Myvi is of a lower price with better improved features all-round, ultimately, value for money worth of course:)...& not forgetting, Myvi has done great deal & justification to all walks of life here by just looking otr, we have to admit that right:) Young & Old (at heart!), all loved Myvi!!

Of course, both F or FF or FFF or even FFFF are all but great cars outright by their own unique ways. Otherwise, they won't be otr too right:)
*
Myvi page or not, as an owner of a specific car, one should give out his most humble and honest opinion about the car he is driving. That particular chap is obviously looking forward to purchase a car and two cars in his mind right now is the Myvi and Fiesta. Automatically, he will turn to the Myvi thread to ask questions since he has an interest in one. Just let the exaggeration done by the salesman. As an owner, be proud of what you own and at least tell it out to people with dignity. Give him the info he wants and let the him make the decision.

Although both cars the price bracket is quite huge, that doesn't mean the Fiesta is a better car. In terms of driving comfort and smoothness, the Myvi is easily better than the Fiesta. A dual clutch might do wonders on a race track, but in a city drive, it is a pain in the ass to drive. It will keep on lurch and jerk and also in gear hunting mode, couldn't decide on which gear it should stay on.

QUOTE(ikiey @ Feb 8 2012, 09:31 AM)
Bro, thats way tooo exaggerating what the Bro's thought....

But, can u really question the myvi resale value...? U cannot rite...?? In terms of %, what ever locally made car, or even japanese made car, the myvi depreciation is very2 low already.. Its the champ in resale value.. Way bettering the Proton is a confirmed fact
*
Since when I even touch about resale value? Not to mention when resale value is the second of my least concern after FC in owning a car.

a good security tint can never be pushed inwards the car cabin, as illustrated by Llumar tinting technicians. It can only be pushed outwards for escape purposes during emergency.

But, thief are smart. lately, there's lots of cases where the thief just simply remove the whole glass (together with the tint) and loot away the HU and other valuable stuffs.

QUOTE(ikiey @ Feb 13 2012, 12:18 AM)
Heheh, if from the beginning have the myvi 1.5 witout the abs, i would choose that one.. This current myvi with abs, the abs is very2 sensitive.. Even the tires still gripping, but hard braking, n then the abs system will let go the brake... Seriously makes me tension because the system prevent me from modulating the brake pressure myself..

I seriously know this because my friends myvi have disable his abs n we interchange our set of wheels, n the braking distance on dry surface is shorter because can brake harder n feel the tires gripping better with the road.. DRY SURFACE that is... Wet.. Hehehe, ABS is best... When ABS is there, my potenza potential is like limited.. hmm.gif

*
try pumping the pedal or press-release then press back, instead of just stepping on the pedal and hoping for a miracle.

ABS is quite fun if you abuse it. tongue.gif

the steering lock I got free from Perodua Sales looks so cheap lol...me and my uncle were thinking if the thieves wanted to, they can just cut off the plastic underneath. Though putting it on does make me feel more assured at night.

that type of steering lock is only good to be used as a melee weapon.

saw lower arm bar for MyVi at Brothers yesterday for RM9.90 only...Apexi brand
dunno can trust or not hmm.gif
*
You should be skeptical with everything you see in Brothers which has the name Apexi on it.
Even the Apexi car was I also not dare to buy eventhough they put "Money back guaranteed"

All these chasis tuning things better just stick back with reputable ones like UR and 3Max.

mine "kok kok" when slowly depressing the brake from standstill.

all cars will have the sound too ranging from a Perodua to a BMW

It only happens when you're letting go of the brakes at D right?
