Only MyVi Extreme 1.5 come tinted whereas the others only UV tempered glass. Yes, the glass is darker due to the UV element but not because of tint, unless like mentioned only the MyVi Extreme 1.5 came tinted.

Are you using 3M Crystalline and Huper Optik? I'm going to put on these soon, 3M Crystalline 70 Front + Huper Optik 40 Side & Rear. Wondering if this will be good to go.

Do check and verify that using 3M for the front windscreen will not effect the Smart Tag, GPS if you uses them daily. From what I read and observed from my daily drive thru the toll booths, drivers have to resort to either winding down their window or having a small opening on the windscreen to overcome this problem.

That's what I installed on mine and the shop said that will cover JPJ summon.
Do take note that JPJ and Puspakom are 2 different thing. It seems that under Puspakom, any form of tint on the front windscreen is not approve. That's why you hear that those people who send their car (2nd hand) for the Transfer of Ownership inspection at Puspakom have to remove the tint before getting the approval.

Finally, received my awesome yellow myvi 1.5 (m) car today with all checks looked marvellous working condition! Immediately, driving on seremban-kl hghway already due need outstation & doing a steady 110-120km feels. Quite on the light side when cruising at 110km, slight swaying but manageable:) Can't complain i guess due eveything from A - Z are stock standard, fresh from the dealer yards.

Touch wood, no noise heard from all compartment as I have another pair of ears helping me to scrutinize such new delivered car:)...let see how when I'm on my way back to kl this evening yah:)

Oh yah, the manual gear stick seems pretty toyish feel, not as firm as my previous 10yrs gti firm feel...guess have to get use of it, from a performance sport hatch to now, 4doors hatchback family car...

Normally when you do a trade in, when do you need to have over the old car?  My SA asked for the old car so that he can use the money to put into the full payment of the new car. 

I always thought that the day we get the new car is the day we trade in the old car.

well, can't afford slowing down at some stretch due to big vehicles squeezing here & there. Need overtake ler & when open road comes, can't resist the temptation of accelerating more speed...so, all in here & there, 120km liow without realizing it!

Other than that, radio reception is great eventhough reaced seremban areas & noticed that the tyres are goodyear, giving some assurance & confident to propel faster - mind playing tricks i guess. Wow, folding side mirror giving some luxury feel though

But kinda dangerous lah. If you're doing a parallel parking on a tight road, tiba-tiba someone was passing right at your side and the mirror flips open, you can guess what happens next.

Even if you park your car with the front or back against the curb, and someone parks really close to your side after that, knock.

for the guys with GPS Nav...do you make a copy or backup of your SD card?

i dont think we need to backup.. last time i messed up with the software and ended up formatting the whole sd..

then i flash in new 5.5 version and everything back to normal..

one thing i dont like is that we have to plug in the sd card to the HU then put back pc just to click the 'finish' button.. lame..

I believe you can swap it with any type of SD card and install the same software will get it work. It is dumb to pre-set the ID of each SD with the GPS.
Well, I believe that this is due to the reason that the software is licensed and you'll need to acquire the embedded ID or code from the system to activate the software. Don't you see there's a screen where you need to activate the software but instead you pull out the card and complete it from the setup?

Hmm... I'm not sure if this is the case but the "kok kok" sound you heard may be normal since you mentioning depressing the brake from standstill and you're gear is at [P]? Do you know that if you gear is at [P], you can't shift the gear until you press on the brake. It's some sort of safety mechanism. The sound seem to be "louder" on MyVi 1.3 compared with 1.5

I replied your PM bro. Unfortunately, I was busy last weekend so I couldn't make it as well. Beside, I'm still undecided between the combo of 3M Crystalline 70 Front + HO 40 Side & Rear or full HO tint. I'm not so particular about SmartTag friendly, but GPS disturbance is a no-no to me

On the other story, last weekend too suddenly my car has this loud sound of "krok krok" from the left side door. I thought my car suddenly giving me this issue of the sound now. I checked the car and nothing abnormal, then I drove again and the sound become louder! OMG!

I get down again for inspection and actually a tree branch stucked underneath the car
