Just got back from Genting again.. Hehehe, the SS do wonders to the myvi's handling... Seriously... Feel so much more planted when 170-180kmh, n plenty or grip during cornering.. N now my stance during cornering more level n not like sampan from side to side.. Hehehe.. If u have around 2k to spend on ur car, please dont do spend those GT wing or matte colour paint job or extremely bling bling 18" rims.. U should invest on these SS, safety wise is far far far beter than those OEM...

Nice stuff bro. Now how much was the damage tongue.gif

Well, for our Myvi type of rides, Anti Roll Bar is good but I don't know about front strut & lower. Is it necessary as Myvi is not a high performance kind of rides. Just a thought:)

I suppose to spent our well-earn money into ICE should justify better. What think you & the rest?
*
Definitely pumping my money into ICE first - it's the second most common thing you do after holding the wheel and pressing the gas biggrin.gif

cool bro thumbup.gif !

Bro colinwong89, will make changes to the ICE system will void the warranty of the car?
*
Not sure but what I remember a forumer here mentioned is that the warranty offered is per-item basis - but it is determined by the service centre. It is best to call the one that you usually go to and enquire smile.gif

Yeah, I have been driving around during CNY and the heat is really... shakehead.gif sweat.gif

Little do I know about the goddess of ICE, but I'm trying to save myself not to step into it. I'm the kind of guy that look for the best possible stuff I can get. Hence, ICE is a no-no otherwise I'll enroute into financing issue doh.gif
*
Same here bro. I only invest in things where you get your value's worth for it. ICE is similar to our road tax structure - for every little more you pay for that little extra at the high end, the prices go up for so little improvement tongue.gif

Stick to the basics, get it sufficiently better and your wallet should be fine.

ps. how I love the word 'sufficient' in ICE - it never means what it means LOL

actually, don't you guys find the sound system that come with MYVI is crappy?
What's the best value for money option to improve it without putting a big hole in your wallet?
*
The basics would be to swap the speakers for new higher quality ones IINM, and the HU later if you're on a tight budget.

Anyone willing to try this mod for the LB's EPS? biggrin.gif

http://autospeed.com.au/cms/title_Modifyin...32/article.html

To me, road feel is really important as it's an active indicator of how much your front wheels are gripping the road - very prevalent on Kancils which have no power steering and pretty poor traction, especially during rain. This would likely also solve a problem for those who drive on straight highways to eliminate the fatigue of holding a overassisted steering wheel smile.gif

Any 1.3 myvi owner want a pair of myvi 1.5 front seat...?? A pair of front seat including all the bracket etc except for the seat belt anchor... Item in a very2 good condition...

Main difference of myvi 1.3 seat and 1.5 seat is that the 1.5 seat have extra side bolstering for a better hold during cornering...

PM to offer me price or can drop me a sms at 012 646 3596... Seat can be COD anywhere in Klang Valley... TQ...  icon_rolleyes.gif

If i press overdrive off button on myvi, will do fuel more save? why when start car that overdrive did not auto off?
*
Actually it would burn more fuel. Switching off overdrive is akin to disabling the fourth gear on your autobox. It's specifically used if you need the car to stick to 3rd gear for climbing hills, overtaking or just to keep the revs high.

QUOTE(ikiey @ Feb 1 2012, 12:35 AM)
it depends on the shop and rim design and brand,.. Japanese brand original from japan can fetch as high as 3-4k, those are the forged lighweight rims, or can get some taiwan brand rim like advanti lighweight which is very value for money price starting from as low as +/- rm900 for 15"... Need to compare from shops to shop.. Some will take ur OEM rim&tires at high price, but the rims there will be expensive, n vice versa...

My case earlier, i bought my rim earlier, n choose a tyre shop that will took my OEM's the highest... At that time i got rm rm800
*
Just wondering, what new rims did you get for your ride?

Advanti Storm 15" Bro... Very light compared with the OEM's, so im satisfied... But, 17" is a killer.. Looks so sexy...  drro0o0o0o0olllll

Nice. Was thinking of that design as well if I ever get new rims sad.gif Just for reference, how heavy is the OEM, and how light is the Storm? Can see how much weight savings you got also.

How much you had to top up for those lightweight babies?

Speaking of car modifications, did anyone experience the 'kok kok kok' sound caused by the caliper pins on your LB Myvis? Can't believe after 3 years of manufacturing, the problem still persists till the next generation grumble.gif

I've yet to receive my car, but I heard it typically happens when you hit bumps and brake at the same time.

Came across this, and it's a good read, especially for those who want dramatic improvements on a budget.

Didn't see that, my bad. Does the front strut bar fit without requiring to move things out of the way?

The struts bar is the easiest to install Bro.. Just open the hood, n then just screw it on the strut tower
*
QUOTE(vearn27 @ Feb 1 2012, 05:33 PM)
Probably need to remove the engine cover while installing? Then put it back on.
*
Some guides are mentioning where the screws have to be torqued correctly? Other than that, self installation should be a breeze. Bro ikiey I asked because I read some where that the height of the airbox would interfere with the bar's placement.

nope u can’t because it will void warranty
*
That's the problem here - which warranty? Since the plugs are connected to the engine, and the engine is connected to the gearbox, does that mean the whole warranty for the car is void? Or are they talking about the individual spark plugs themselves?
