mine is stock conti tyre..auto..i was driving at maybe about 40kmh, then i full throttle then can hear the front wheel like spinning..yup maybe the road surface is dusty also..but i think it is harder to do a wheel spin when the car is already moving..gonna try again later..and the power when full throttle is also addicting.. brows.gif

Just got a quotation for MyVi LPLB UR

Front Strut + Front Lower + Anti Rolling Bar = RM650

Izzit front lower necessary? How's the price quotation anyway.
*
I think front lower will give better effect than rear lower, because there at the engine compartment theres a huge void it take out the engine, so maybe theres alot of twisting effect there so strengthening there can give better handling.. But, for those lowered rides, dont know wether can have enough ground clearance or not.. Thats y i avoid the front lower bar.. Been told that that particular bar will reduces the ground clearance by 30-40mm... 30-40mm in a lowered myvi is alot actually...

Any 1.3 myvi owner want a pair of myvi 1.5 front seat...?? A pair of front seat including all the bracket etc except for the seat belt anchor... Item in a very2 good condition...

Main difference of myvi 1.3 seat and 1.5 seat is that the 1.5 seat have extra side bolstering for a better hold during cornering...

PM to offer me price or can drop me a sms at 012 646 3596... Seat can be COD anywhere in Klang Valley... TQ... icon_rolleyes.gif

ICE - In Car Entertainment...

Exterior can start with rim n tyre combo.. Trade in ur brand new OEM tires n rim combo early in the wheel's life span because can get higher value... Safety also better because beter stability with wider tires and better rubber...

N then go add rear anti roll bar

It wont give better FC, because with OD off, u are basically stuck at 3rd gear n using higher RPM for any particular speed compared with OD on..

how much i need to top up  if i sell my rim to get another 17 or 16 inc rim?
*
it depends on the shop and rim design and brand,.. Japanese brand original from japan can fetch as high as 3-4k, those are the forged lighweight rims, or can get some taiwan brand rim like advanti lighweight which is very value for money price starting from as low as +/- rm900 for 15"... Need to compare from shops to shop.. Some will take ur OEM rim&tires at high price, but the rims there will be expensive, n vice versa...

My case earlier, i bought my rim earlier, n choose a tyre shop that will took my OEM's the highest... At that time i got rm rm800

Just wondering, what new rims did you get for your ride?

Advanti Storm 15" Bro... Very light compared with the OEM's, so im satisfied... But, 17" is a killer.. Looks so sexy... drro0o0o0o0olllll

Nice. Was thinking of that design as well if I ever get new rims sad.gif Just for reference, how heavy is the OEM, and how light is the Storm? Can see how much weight savings you got also.

How much you had to top up for those lightweight babies?
*
If im not mistaken, the OEM is around 7kg each corner... That is witout the tyre... The Advanti lighweight series 15" is 4.9kg each... Even 17" is lighter that the OEM, but if add the tyre, i think it will endup heavier than the OEM rim+tyre weight

Added on February 1, 2012, 1:04 amBasicly i only buy tires.. Rim i got cheap cheap from my friend... But, need to do balancing on that rim, add centre cone, rubber valve, n lug nuts etc, i end up aroun 900++ Bro

In the end, you top-up 900++ including trade-in your OEM rims and stock tires for your new configuration? unsure.gif

*
Yes Bro, total 900++.. I took bridgestone potenza that time, so quite expensive... But, if i settle for some eco tires, can even no need to top up money or can get some money back... But, that is possible because i didnt buy rim. I already have the rim brought along with me and went there to fix tires only..

what's the purpose of these 2 items? thanks

Front struts to maintain ur front suspension geometry during hard cornering.. Basicly act as chassis strengthening member.. While Anti roll bar reduces ur car's roll during cornering Bro

Ray-Tech tint has many grades. Different grades with different quality spec and price of course.
Check this out: http://www.ultraracing.my/template.asp?menuid=30
OIC, you have got your rims much earlier. I thought how come so cheap change rim + tires only for RM900++ laugh.gif
Do you think front lower is necessary when you already have front struct?
*
For best result yes it will fare better, because have upper and lower bracing the empty area where the engine is located so it will be more rigid... but, if u lower ur car, then it will hit high speed bumps, and worst when u want to do avoiding maneuver those dog and cat's carcas or biawak or what ever, i think the lower bar will act as bulldozer... True story Bro.. My friend did bulldoze one carcas, n it smell really bad.. But, his car already low like those Super GT car.. Hehehe

I see. Thanks for your information sharing. I'll keep the front lower a note smile.gif

I still not sure whether I wanted to install the front lower, however the guy at the shop mentioned front struct will be sufficient enough. My ride is currently everything on stock but I'm not sure how low will be the front lower when it's attached. One concern always mentioned by my friend, the bars very often break and dangerous when driving with broken bar. Izzit true? blink.gif
*
It will only break if u hit something really2 hard.. But, thats rarely the case.. That chassis strengthening bar is very strong, so maybe not break, but bend maybe.. Because there one case previously discussed in other myvi forum, the rear anti roll bar is very rigid, the torsion beam where the anti roll bar being fixed break.. Not the anti roll bar... Strengthening bars rarely break Bro.. But, if u running on stock ride height n dont have intentions to slam down ur car, i dont think there will be any problem.. The front lower will only take out 30-35mm or ur ride height Bro

not that bro.. From the usj elite highway exit, take right turn, n then just straight until will get to LDP puchong toll... The Putra Heights exit is way before the Puchong toll, and there will have 1 petronas station on ur left just after the Putra Heights exit with ample parking where we can RV before proceed to putrajaya

Torsion beam break? Where or what is that? The chassis? blink.gif

I have called After Twelve Garage at Sunway and the guy quoted me:

Front Struct + ARB (16mm) = RM350
Front Struct + ARB (18mm) = RM460
Front Struct + Front Lower + ARB (18mm) = RM650

What do you think about the pricing? 3cm wouldn't be much concern for me I guess, unless my car full loaded then would be otherwise.

Actually, how many of us really did installed these bars on your ride and how do you find them perform than without? unsure.gif
*
The part where the anti roll bar being screw at the torsion beam there..
Attached Image
inside the circled is where the ARB being fixed to the torsion beam.. Thats the spot where the torsion bear breaks.. To stiff ARB case...

Bro, seriously that price is damn expensive... Go to nagamotorsport..

front strut 100, ARB 16mm 260 / ARB 18mm 330 = 360 / 430 only..

My setup is front strut + 18mm + rear lower = 550...

My own exp, after fixxed all this bars, my ride more stable, high speed also not floating as much as before. n somehow my braking also improves n have better feel at the brake pedal... Basicly, car feel more like heavier car feel when taking corners n going aver bumps

Owh. Got it. thumbup.gif Anyway, when going through bumps, does the car absorbers feels stiffer? I know it has nothing to do with absorber, but since you say going through bumps the car feels much heavier..
*
Actually bro, the feeling like, previously when u go over bump with some decent speed, ur car like mahu melantun naik atas balik, but after u install these bars, the feeling like to bounce back is lesser.. U get me bro..??

It seems like that torsion beam can break easily sweat.gif

What would be the cost of changing that piece or that part if the torsion beam broke?

Any reason for your setup of selecting rear lower than front lower? Does front lower improves handling much more than rear lower?
*
I doesnt breaks easily bro, that is some extreme forces going thru the car.. I dunno how, maybe the driver go rallying with the car or something.. blink.gif

It wont breaks if like normal usage like our everyday driving or even some spirited drives uo n down genting Bro, dont worry..

I chose rear lower because my car have already been lowered, so scared will jadi bulldozer, thats y i only settled with rear bar.. Rear bar doesnt take much ground clearance as per front lower bar Bro...

But, i personally thinks that the front will provide more significant improvement, because at the engine bay there is a huge empty area (imagine taking the engine out to clearly understand my point here).. N our engine doesnt act as part of stress member of the chassis (like some big bike using engine as part of chassis), so adding the 4point lower bar will have more effect than the rear i GUESS... rear already have floor near the torsion beam anchoring points...
