I mean the display colour is vibrant like Macbook Pro 15" or not? So far been using MacBook Pro and it has the best display IMHO. Would like to buy another notebook that has similar or better display than the macbook pro 15"

hmm, your best shot will be xps 15 with fullhd upgrade or hp envy 15.

Hello all smile.gif Need help here smile.gif

2. Budget: 3k
3. Usage: multimedia design (web design, adobe master collection cs5, 3Ds Max/Lightwave, Video editing) and a little bit of gaming smile.gif
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 15" and above

I did some research and found these 2 models:

which one is better? or any other suggestion? smile.gif

ps: i saw lotsa ppl saying nono to acer, may i know why?

can also consider
N55Sl-S2064v, i5-2450M + Nvidia GT635M + (1600x900)@RM2899[Bang & Olufsen], 4GB, 750GB(5400rpm)

no comment on acer, maybe because users complaining about it easy to break down bla bla, and so on, contributing to a bad name. but i wouldn't worry much, as it all comes down on how you take care of your laptop.

Nope, higher number doesn't necessarily mean its better..
The GT555m is alot more powerful than the GT610M...
The N55sf has better speakers, faster HDD, and higher resolution screen compared to the A53... not to mention better looks  laugh.gif

gt610m should be around gt540m's performance right?
