Trudat. Drum things include cymbals and drum itself best buy used. Just make sure no dents, cracks. Even if very beat up still can buy (this for drums itself only) unless u want order custom la *praise*

ahh, i see
@5p3ak, tell me when u tried them smile.gif
I don't even got one sad.gif, have to go to my friend's house to practice, plan to get one after SPM smile.gif, must mostly e-drums due to the residential area i live in, but if can will go for accoustic + silencer pads
*
dont make the same mistake as i did. buying overly priced new drum set and cymbals . buy used set and used cymbals. pedal can buy new. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey guys! Just a 16 year old drummer here from Subang Jaya deciding to introduce myself here smile.gif Entirely self taught, been playing for 3 years now, starting to take drums seriously (well since it's the school holidays now tongue.gif). Guess I'll post some of my covers here.

Arctic Monkeys - Mardy Bum

Born of Osiris - Abstract Art (For anyone interested in metal, you guys should check this band out. They have the most complex song patterns EVER.)

Any constructive crticism is always welcome smile.gif Also, I'd like to ask where can I buy replacement parts, specifically the screws for my Tama Iron Cobra Jr Pedal here in Malaysia? Thanks in advance
*

*

guys. i want to ask u guys something.
can u guys hit the hi hat with 8th notes at 180bpm?
is it possible without any technique and just normal stroke.
cause i search how to develop hihat speed. they teach u a technique but not speed itself.

so my question is anyone can hit fast like 180bpm with "normal" technique @8th notes?

normal technique means is the way u first learn to play drums. very constant no accent.
but most of the people suggest using Moeller Technique
that's why i duno if the "normal" stroke can get so fast.

I did ask ... and it was some "J" brand. The cymbals have some J logo printed on it. Generally, how much should I spend on cymbals alone?

There's zildjian, istanbul, meinl, paiste, sabian .... not to mention there's so much options within each brand.

It's like Chee Cheong Fun with multiple choices of sauces. Different sauce will bring different taste.

Maybe if you guys can tell me what cymbals you guys are using or prefer ... it'll help me narrow down the selection.

If you have the time, do tell how did you go about buying your first set of cymbals. Whether it sucks or not tongue.gif and whether you regret it tongue.gif LOL

Added on December 8, 2012, 3:52 pmHow often do you need to replace the cymbals?
I just learnt that there'll be wear and tear. And cymbals need replacing.

personally im a drummer on a "budget" but im quite impress with Stagg i love it. cheap and decent. but sure cant compare to other high end brand's high end stuff la.
