QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Apr 7 2012, 06:42 PM) Got the chance to check out a set of acrylic drums the other day belonging to a professional drummer that I know. I haven't seen any others in Malaysia, so yeah. No pictures though. D: They were a set of custom acrylics, no idea where he got them from. First things first, they were incredibly bright and loud, especially in the small room that we were in. Not much resonance, and it doesn't have the tonal qualities of wood, obviously, heh. But it was a great experience and fun to play with. And it looked wicked! So it's like no sustain? Acrylic bass drums looks badass tough. QUOTE(zacharyseng @ Apr 7 2012, 07:09 PM) yay. just got my stagg dh-cm18b cymbal Congrats pics perhaps?

QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Apr 8 2012, 06:52 PM) SBR are beginner cymbals. x) Expensive tau. xD Cheapest set I would get is USD3000 without shipping. *burn* Might as well get Ludwig Classic Maple I traded my AAX crash with a HHX and I'm now in a very... weird phase. Its a good cymbals, but the china flange on this particular HHX crash is slightly weird. Heh. The other ones I tried didn't have this. But oh well. OMG Luddy Classic Maple That one also good if not better then the Acrylics QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Apr 8 2012, 07:04 PM) Nope, just HHX. Its a very nice cymbal though, very nice projection. Just that when played with a hand, you can hear a bit of a chinese flange, but when played normally its fine. So it's a HHX Stage Crash? Not bad! QUOTE(zacharyseng @ Apr 8 2012, 08:21 PM) SBR cymbal set for rm800 my DH + SBR = very very very weird sound combination It's your choice

QUOTE(zzzxtreme @ Apr 16 2012, 12:46 PM) cymbals stands and arms are so expensive hoh btw, the seller "hamstrex" or something sells china brand cymbal stands for RM110. i got mine from doremi around rm160 i think. meinl arm is rm120-130 i think? very thick metal. cheap taiwan arm - very thin metal already rm110 i love meinl, good value. how often do cymbals pecah ? which cymbals pecah usually ? crash? ride? splash? hi hat? Where is doremi located? I wanna check it out. Usually cymbals won't pecah...if they do means either it's too tight or wrong technique. IMO most pecah cymbals I've seen is crash.

QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Apr 19 2012, 07:01 PM) Yeeeeah. HAHA! Or use silent sticks. I'm thinking of going down that path, but then I'd be wasting the heads. Yeah mate Letting go of my HH hats. I really need the money urgently. Anything besides that? QUOTE(syabilng @ Apr 20 2012, 03:24 PM) What about the room I set it up in? Does it have any effect? I see. Thank you so much for explaining.
