oh...I using GEX soil normal type green pack not shrimp type. I read from some forum they said will having pH fluctuation,i guess maybe their tank is not yet full cycle. So i wish to see any used GEX soil normal type for CRS used by lyn or not. Wanna see any problem they face. As i got 2 tank 1 GEX 1 ADA, GEX tank is existing planted tank and i found the soil like lack of nutrient after 1year i used so i plant to rescape it and set for up for CRS. Another tank using ADA is new tank.

Any suggestion guyz?Which tank i should set up for CRS. For the CRS tank i plan to set up simple moss tank that it smile.gif

wow?ADA need 1month to cycle the tank and balance the water pH.I never knew that bro, thx for your information. If existing soil will give me problem i think i better use new Amazonia for CRS. Benibachi is too costly for me, i think i wont try it biggrin.gif

If so, i think i have to decide simple moss tank or planted tank already. Cant make my choice right now. cry.gif

Do you think that a good idea to keep HC and christmas together with CRS so that i can see them all? What kind of liquid fert u used for your CRS tank?

Yea bro, i more focus on shrimp. I would like to set up a moss tank but kinda hard for me to get a nice driftwood at my place, that the reason make me shift to plant tank together with shrimp. Maybe i should not rush and slowly get a nice driftwood so that i can set up a moss tank with CRS. And i already decided to use ADA new amazonia for CRS instead of using recycle gex soil top up with ADA new soil

I also got think to use rock before but i dont like the debris all stuck inside the plant like my current tank. I prefer to use driwftwood as i can tie the moss on the branches so that debris is hardly stuck inside the moss and also easier to manage biggrin.gif

yes i do wash them bcos they clogged with debris , i wash it inside a plastic bucket with tank water or De-chlorinated  tap water or aged water.
just squeeze them in the bucket to let out all the debris , do it 2 to 3 time.

I use BW lush, Seachem Potassium & iron once in 2 week. Half dose.

The respective fert you using izzit shrimp safe?i kinda noob on this. Because my current moss tank(without co2) dont use any fert and i also not sure whether should i or should not use any fert on it. Need more advise, as i prepare it to breed shrimp. This tank already 2month+

why u wanna increase ur calcium ? GH not enough ? smile.gif

i got my minerock from sazuka, same price with lelong, but i didn't put in whole piece, i break it down to small pieces and try 2 first

for sulawesi, they need higher PH and different mineral combination (US selling pre-mix salt just for sulawesi)
also their natural habitat is quite basic and empty... not fancy fancy like planted tank

cheers ~

Actually i increase my gh and more calcium is for my crab tank.

They need harder water to molt and almost same with shrimp, so i ask you guyz opinion.
So how to increase gh n more calcium ar?

Now left how many? i got three only. The water i provide them with higher PH and GH as i put few piece of coral in the water. I found in internet as they need hard water to molt and calcium after they molt.
Besides, i also prepare a cup of fresh water with moss.

One of my crab lost his leg dont know why sad.gif
About the food, i give them JBL shrimp food(what i gave my shrimp) and dry mircoworm. You only give them moss?
