I cant get this stuff at my place and also around my campus LFS normal also got 12mm and 16mm. better check it out first. usually 16mm for 500l/h flow rate. usually lah...but you better check first. my HOB use 12mm since it only running 300l/h.. |

QUOTE(sang gemok @ Jun 27 2012, 03:15 PM) not just fired red, SUPER PAINTED FIRE FREAKIN RED...hahano la..just cherry only..forgot already ka..bought it together.. that is why i ask mr. arrow, do they turn more vivid when light turn on. i've been monitoring them. when the light went off, they will be more transparent than you've seen just now. after 1-2 hours light turn on, the color will become more vivid. different with fire red, wether the light turn off/on, their colors still solid. correct me if im wrong.. |

co2 is a booster to faster growth of moss. it is not compulsory to have it. with sufficient light and cool water temperature, it will grow. you can dose minimal amount of fertilizer (sang gemok is good at this

where is sifu arrow when we need him?
you can use holland sand (waterfall sand what did you guys call just now) for base. i already try lorr...shrimp live like normal..nothing happen..just their color not red enough...even NA have tank using holland sand and keep red cherry in it. the darker soil/sand you put in, it will be more vivid in color. better use shrimp soil. for what purpose we need to use shrimp soil?? - Beneficial bacteria will stay in soil - soil will maintain the pH that it should be. - shrimp will be more striking color. that's the purpose of using shrimp soil. some shrimp need lower pH. some need high pH. so soil will help to maintain the pH that u want. eg. crystal shrimp need lower pH, while sulawesi shrimp need higher pH. if you want to keep red cherry shrimp, its ok to use normal soil. coz they can adapt with variable water parameter (just dont give them shock) |
