hi all,
recently just ventured into keeping yamato shrimp to better control the algae instead of relying on Ottos and SAEs.
i bought a bunch of them from local LFS and introduced them by using drip method as taught int thids tread.
at the 1st day, everything was cool, i kept them in a net enclosure in my main tank, just to observe them before release into the tank.
2nd day morning, 2 died and i thought it should be normal as they might be ecposed to severe stress during transit. fed them cleaned tomato and cucumber. after back home from my day activities, found out another 1 died, not sure what is the reason.
this morning (day 3), another 3 died mysteriously. this really gets on my nerve as i dont know what caused their death.
can anyone pls kindly let me know what is most likely the problems?
anyway, my tank condition:
ammonia lvl near to 0 using commercial tester.
chlorine lvl near to 0 using commercial tester.
no salt added to aquarium.
water temp hovering at 26-28C
commercial plants fertilizer. (BW)
commercial fish food pellets. (forget what brand..)
hardness not tested.
ph lvl not tested. (using filtered overnight water to ensure no heavy metal and chlorine)
can anyone please help on this?
appreciate any help from you guys.
