Bring up the pH is that also mean increase the gH as well? 3-5pieces of coral enough to increase the pH for 1ft tank?I know this question is quite subjective but i still need to ask because i dont own a test kit. Sorry.
Hoho chocolate shrimps are very expensive la. For my 2nd tank i never inject co2. For my main tank i did inject co2, after 1year i still dont see any of my RCS berries but my yamato do. Really faint. I always see my shrimp molt but they never berries or maybe the male 1 not strong enough brows.gif
*
It is risky to put coral stone without a test kit to monitor but if you insist , then put 2pcs 3cm length coral stone in the filters since yours only 1 ft,
for my 50cm tank 2pcs that size increase the ph from 6 to 6.4. Do at your own risk though.
ADA amazonia soil do induce quite low ph initially, my 2ft tank i put BW Humic to stabilize/buffer the PH to 6.4.

try don't keep many ghost shrimps with dwarf shrimps, ghost shrimps will attack/kill dwarf shrimps if there is not enough food or when molting.

they didn't finishes the food i gave.huhu.small amount jer.huuuu

pity them. sad.gif

but they survive for the time being.huuuu
*
fogging, when they come last sunday lucky i was home, i tell my family don't ever ever let them come into the house to fog no matters what they claim & said, it sure will wipe out all the shrimps in my tank. even when they fog outside i close all windows & doors , off all air pump
and even setup my air purifier near my tank just in-case.

arrow, what shrimp is your profile photo showing?

I went to EA to buy shrimp last weekend. I pointed to two shrimps, the staff told me they were cherry shrimps. But I am doubtful whether they are cherry shrimps.

One of it is full red, similar to arrow's profile photo. The other one is semi red, half transparent.
*
my profile picture is sulawesi Caridina dennerli.

hopefully you be grandpa to more shrimplets soon, this shrimp have been berried for like 2 to 3 week, so a week or two will give birth. but you need to "jaga" water quality else now you see it later you don't. and cover your filter inlet with sponge or stainless stain mesh cover, mr.ciohbu selling some.

My filter inlet is already covered with sponge. By the way, dosed in some mosura gravida into the tank. The shrimps suddenly became so excited (swimming up & around). Hope that's a normal reaction.
*
that is the effect of gravidas, it simulate their sexual urges, their action refer to as dancing. that why borneowild came out a similar more potent product called DANCE.

Just got 5 RCS to join my mini school of neon tetras biggrin.gif
they seem to be doing well after 24 hours. the tetras are pretty chill and don't seem to be bothering them.
one even moulted (although im not sure if thats a good sign sweat.gif)
they seem to be lovin the fern there!
I have one question though, will i be able to transform my cherries to fire reds through breeding?
*
yes but it will take lot of generation and interbreed, for the effort just spend a little more for fire red is more time and economic viable.
shrimps sometime molt to adjust new environment. wait at least a week to see whether you get it right for them.
