ram block is more of aesthetic purpose more than performance imo. i'd doubt ppl who can afford ram block don't have d moolah to get performance ram. to some ppl, watercools d ram would definitely "complete" their loop(s) & d looks of wc system as a whole. smile.gif

Koolance has two heatspreader+block that works with most rams. None of the gskill have removable heatskin like mushkin and corsair dominators

Correction; that is what certain people are feeding others with smile.gif. It's however highly dependent on how you interpret others' statements. I do admit though that there are many people who are simplifying things so much here to the point where Performance RAM is basically interpreted as a useless piece of sh*t.

Anyway, if those who wish to correct those who have been claiming that Performance RAMs do nothing good to systems, why don't you all just post your statement along with results and major improvements that could change the battlefield rather than claim that others are misunderstanding the usage and not bother adding any support in your post? As far as I can see them performance RAMs are pretty much best used when it comes to APU based systems and overclocking and not so much in other things.

imo, better to get a universal gpu block with heatsink, dont know if its cheaper than full block but most but not all ppl will change gpu within a year, they will be holding to a particular gpu wb withput any/rare potential buyer...

I agree to the bold parts, besides if one like the fancy heat sink I'm sure some shops still sells them...

The point is if you are buying a lower end ram and spending extra rm300-400 on the ram block+fitting to water cool them so that you can oc them higher, you are better off just putting the same amount of money on a higher end ram.

I know a lot of people are moving away from wc ram. Ask pptek how many ram blocks they'd sell and you'd know smile.gif but to each his own.

I am sure those who pay for ram waterblock sure as heck don't use value ram sweat.gif
As for watercooling ram statement you make,i kind of agree
Too many hassle for too little performance gain
IMO,a set of fan kit like Corsair Dominator Airflow will do

Such an uneducated bold statement
When you replace your car wheel with aftermarket alternative from quality manufacturer such as Volk Racing,HRE or Works Wheel, chance are the wheel you change to is lighter biggrin.gif
Lighter wheel bring a lot of benefit such as better acceleration, better fuel consumption, less stress on brake
Anyway, enough of this topic since this is OCU,not F&F sweat.gif

i know u talked alot about usage.
if my usage is overclocking, then really got major improvement with performance RAM.

if my usage is to read reviews and give recommendations, then ram, GC everything is not important, only internet connection will give a major improvement.
