A newbie on rooting and flashing. if we root our phone to lets say RocketRom or CheckRom, if there is an update from Samsung on new Android firmware like ICS, are we still able to download and install the latest ICS?

No. You need flash back to stock rom

Should not be perhaps your laptop or desktop is very old model. I got no problem viewing first picture
from my laptop.

regarding the display defect..more obvious is when u open the calculator...seem the top part has a parabolic sphere in blue colour..@_@

No. My last rocket was v12. Tested few hours checkrom v2. Went back to substancer KL7 which i consider best KL7 rom
Last 2 days on chris KL8 very good no major issues. Excellent battery life too. Very stable rom no hang freeze issues at all.

Did flash RR V15 yersterday night. So far still OK.
I noticed that Kies Wifi was FC...cannot be opened at all.
Anything I should concern? I can live without Kies Wifr but I'm concern about other Apps.

If i freeze it, that's mean I can't use Internet Tether?
