Managed to connect to Kies but it states "Current firmware version : N7000XXKL8/N7000OXAKL8/N7000XXKL8/N7000XXKL8 (KOR)....ANY IDEA? lol

yea..i received tht too..but kinda diff..i am using ivalue plans..which they upgraded mine from 500mb to 1gb..

ofc..its a compliment from maxis..nothing shud be fear of..^^

haha...same problem with me previously..
just install a new Kies from samsung website the latest version would have updated date 02 Jan 2012, use that one.
then reconnect Note, it will detetct and said new FW available..

mine to 5gb.... happy...

I actually installed the latest (downloaded from Samsung site) dated 2 Jan 12 but still the same results. I try updating the Kies it says "Latest version is installed. Installed version: Ver.2.1.1.11123_17)


But still states Your device doest not support software upgrading via Kies....

Unplug the cable and plug-in back...try use the original cable that come with the package..

Best to use Odin mobile. Does not lose root.

but the latest Kies software vers. is 2.1.1.11124_17_6 not the same as the version u stated above..
also pls checked that in the About Phone/ Software Update/ pls dont check (tick) the Wi-Fi only option for downloading update
oh ya..pls remove memory card as well..i did that too..then only it detect and upgrade..

FINALLY i got my phone back after 1 month!, they changed motherboard and changed my battery to which I dont know why they did that

the Unpleasent thing is seem they used my phone for testing, they left all the GMAIL! FACEBOOK!! TWITTER! account in the application setting, and from the history the phone was being use for 2 days for twitting/fb/email as I can see the sent and reply from the account (WTF?), they should have at least wipe the phone clean before handing it over to me

they cannot misuse their customer phone...shud report it to Samsung officially...

Samsung PJ, I have the person names that involed and I have his samsung offcial email too, I didnt check it while at the center just realized it when I at my office when trying to reconfigured my devices

I cannot connect to Samsung Kies. Get the message ' Error. Cannot start service on the device. Please disconnect then reconnect device. Eventhough I reconnect, uninstall and reinstall Kies (latestest version dated today) and perform the 'Trouble shoot connection error', all these steps didn't work. I can see Portable Device - GT N7000 Mobile Phone in 'Computer' on my PC. On the Galaxy Note screen it is displayed ' charging'.

Can anyone help?
