Dead Trigger have just converted me to FPS gamer on the Android. It plays quite nicely in ICS, however, in JB, it lags like mad, and is not playable when there are like 5+ zombies on the screen.

While waiting for ChainFire to support JB so I can give that a try again, I hooked up my phone to ADB while playing Dead Trigger and realise that Android seems to be doing a lot of Garbage Collection and restarting of processes (gapps and maps mainly)

Suspecting that these GC and restart might be causing the lag, I installed AutoKiller and set it to the Aggressive Profile, and viola, Dead Trigger is much smoother now! Will do a bit more testing on which AutoKiller mode is best.

which rom are you on ?

there are so many custom rom of jellybean ,

custom rom definitely cannot OTA update.

it is better to have a clean bone stock rom to apply OTA .

Guys, if you want the best experience with JB, try JellyBelly v0.1.5 rom by AdamG in xda forum. So smooth with good battery life.

Yes, you need to flash the .24 kernel first. There's a bug with the original in v.0.1.5

V0.15 got more problem than 0.14, but 0.1.5.1 already solved this, best ROM so far,
only thing is " long press back to kill" will black out screen...i just disable it

Why not just buy another second hand nexus s? I am sure the price is cheap now, I am also thinking whether to upgrade my NS or try to get the N7.
