Been driving my optra 1.8 for 5 years now. No prob with the a/c so far. Untill hari raya day. The a/c would be cold as normal. But after a while, the coldness dropped, and became more warmer and the air flow from he vents also reduced. (Could it be an "icing" problem??)
Later, I switch off the a/c, just lets the blower runs and I can felt the coldness again (with the a/c off) for few minutes. And this keep on repeating (both long distance and short distance travels)

What could be the problem - is it icing issue/RCV valve kaput/not enough gas/piping problem/

Would a normal service (never had one yet) fixs/shows the problem??

we have solved this situation before by replacing the thermostat to overcome the icing issue.
Yet, it needs to be further confirmed by checking at your current system.

hi boss, my unser having problem with its aircond for two years and I have spent more then 3k on fixing the aircond but the problem keep coming back. I was advised to change the compressor everytime theres problem but everytime after i changed it, the problem came back after a few months. During the recent change, after I change my compressor, the foreman advise me to add a new fan to the car air cond and after two weeks the problem come where smoke come out from my air cond belt. Until I have fixed it recently but when I open the air cond to the max, no cold air coming out from the car air cond. Can I advise what is the problem?

Sounds a big headache on your Unser...

Most probably gas insufficiency (due to leakage) or your aircond parts are not performing.
Since you have fixed on the aircond so many times, it's good if you'd drive over the conduct a diagnosis check on your aircond current condition to give a better picture on what the main cause is.

I'm from Kajang. Myvi 2007.

Recently my compressor magnetic clutch burnt. Compressor won't run but there was still refrigerant inside.

Replaced a new Taiwanese compressor (Avanza) 1 month warranty. Vacuumed and added refrigerant. 2 weeks later, suddenly not cold. Compressor will not kick-in at all(magnetic clutch no respond at all), compressor pulley moving as usual. Went to check to find no more refrigerant. They said should be cooling coil leaking and it is common issue with Myvi.

Are you able to detect and pinpoint leaks? Sniffer tool, UV dye?
Or possible leak at service valves and compressor?

Please advice.

For checking which point is leaking, this has to be identified by a leakage diagnosis tool. Can't confirm you where the leakage is until we have check on your current system. This would help to understand and solve your aircond issue better.

We do have service on flushing air cond system, i.e. condenser, hoses, etc.

Just went to service my car a/c. Done full a/c service and their service is good. Not an easy job to take out the dashboard and wash the cooling coil. Sadly my budget is not enough and could not change the compressor.

It's possible but not advisable as the front steel bar needs to be modified.
