Oversubscription small only. Aiyaaa....
Could be good because more chances to be alloted. But also could be a bad thing. People could be not interested. i.e, less demand. That means...... doh.gif

They discounted the price, but only 10 cent? Meaning, PER FYE2011 still 16x something. Aiyaaaaa ... sweat.gif

Sure want if given. I will probably dispose it on the first day. The oversubscribed rate is not encouraging at all. You need to know that it will not sink on the first listing day due to government link. Some said it is unsinkable but for how long!
*
6.75X??? Isn't it far from expectation as it is a mega IPO and a gov-backed company. Shouldn't it suppose to be 30x something like its child MSM. I think this discouraging figure was due to negative sentiment circulating around. Hopefully that does not extend to the listing day.

Don't worry about that. Government wont let this counter to fail during listing day. Question is, how much profit you can gain ?

Lets do some mock-up prediction.... (I am not suggesting anything)... just joking around here....

The following parameters are assumed:

1. Current EPS: RM 0.30 with PE 16x of IPO price RM4.45
2. The business growth in average around 15% p.a (in terms of EPS growth).
3. The stock trades with PE 20x when the price reaches RM15

Based on these assumptions:

EPS when reaching assumption (3) = (15/20) = RM 0.75
Growth from now = ( (0.75/0.30) - 1 ) x 100% = 150%.
Number of years = 150/15 = 10.

That means, it's still (mathematically) possible to reach RM15, but you need to hold it 1 decade.
In reality? This is most likely impossible. Why?

1). You dump it at the 1st day of trading..... hahahaha... biggrin.gif
2). Doing business is affected by too many uncountable unseen factors.

QUOTE(ciahcra @ Jun 18 2012, 10:02 AM)
just want to ask, for those whose applying through MITI and normal balloting, when will the shares be deposited to the CDS account? when can I  check?

for normal balloting, do i check with m2u (i apply thru m2u), or check with my CDS which is under HLebroking?
*
If not mistaken, the shares are deposited to your CDS account the day before listing.

Checking with mb2u only to check whether your IPO application is successful l or not. Then, if successful, the day before listing check your trading account with HLeBroking to confirm your shares are already deposited.

Keep in mind that, the "days" should refer to as "trading or business" days.

Is "oversubscription" based on the number shares or the number of application? rclxub.gif

Does private placement through investment bank fall into "institutional investors" category?. Like application through MITI?

If so, more chances to be allotted compared to application through consumer bank (as it falls into "retailers" category).
As for FGVH IPO, if not mistaken, 50% was alloted for "instituitional". Only 5% for retailers, inclusive for Bumi and Non-Bumis, as well as, the settlers.

But either way, it still most likely depends on luck due to balloting.

Correct me if this is wrong.

Nope. This is not private placement. Rather, this is the traditional way of applying for shares in an IPO. Most have gone for e-IPO.
*
I have heard that long time ago people have gone through this method to apply IPOs. But didn't know it is still applicable. So, you sent your application directly to the Issuing House or through Investment Bank?
