KUALA LUMPUR--Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd. (5222.KU) has increased the amount of money raised in its Malaysia initial public offering to a total $3.3 billion after fully exercising the deal's overallotment option.

Felda earlier raised US$3.1 billion from the sale of 2.19 billion shares in the world's second-largest new share sale this year after Facebook Inc.'s US$16 billion deal.

Felda said Friday it exercised the deal's overallotment option by selling an additional 109.4 million shares to institutional investors.

Proceeds from the sale will go to its parent Federal Land Development Authority, the company said in a statement to the Malaysian stock exchange.
