Nothing to be embarassed about. Both iphone 4 and ipad 1/2 sucks when comes to download youtubes compared to Android smartphones/tablets. I have used both and that is a fact
I always advised my friends if youtube downloads is important, forget about ios devices - best is still android between the two
infact the BEST gadget for youtube download is blackberry playbook - simply unbeatable and their browser beats both ios and android

Why not just use your 3G? I stream videos via Maxis 3G, same speed as any wifi, except those with unifi.

My area 3G speed is about 3.5 to 4.9 mbps.

Simply because kampung at malacca got no 3g

Its not only for youtube, but also browsing safari.
Its slower compared to samsung.
If its just slower than galaxy note, i surely would understand.
But slower compare to galaxy ace?? Wohh.. Its so embarassing for a rm2k device

Not really, when you turn on wifi, all your internet traffic will use wifi but it will not turn off 3G

I interpreted his question differently lol. Anyway if you didn't manually switch off the 3G network before using the wifi, once you're disconnected from a wifi connection, you'll be automatically connected to 3G as mentioned by hobbes1001.

My previous iP4 has no problem with wifi connection and as such I don't think due to it's being iPhone or not. Case in hand, my current iPhone 4S does have the same problem like yours which is the wifi locking is with intermittent problem in comparison to my Galaxy S II. I'm not very sure but based on my experience, I believe this could be a problem with the ipsw rather than hardware. Last time a new ipsw solved an issue with my workplace wifi as well as network problem.

BTW: has anyone got problem with iphone 4s flash? Picture at night is soo washout. I'm on 5.0.1. Hopefully this is just a flash timing bug that can be rectified

guys, since
yesterday i cant use my maxis 3g data. it told me that im not connected to the internet. it happens yesterday. i tried to home and power button reset and still same. i wonder if this is my phone problem or maxis. any suggestion guys??
