Do you want push mail or don't want push mail? If you want push mail, you must turn on Push. Fetch set to manual nvm.

Or do u mean u can get push mail from hotmail and not from ur comp mail? Ur comp mail is using exchange server or other server? other server need activesync funtion.

He's asking why his company mail and hotmail was downloaded/push automatically although he already set it to manual i.e. open mail app only download.

Ooo, now i understand haha.

I experienced the same thing before. Set push to off, and fetch to manual. I set cellular data off. But once i get wifi connection the mails will download by itself.

The time not really fixed, from time to time it will download or at least once a day.

5 hours 30 mins usage
23 hours standby

10% left

most usage goes to games.

is this good?

@frozzbyte, hello, my model is 4S, running 5.0.1 (9A406). My hotmail downloads automatically when I'm on 3G or wifi. I just find it weird even those push is set to off.

In Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Fetch New Data -> Advanced -> Did you select Hotmail to manual?

I also set my company and hotmail acc to manually fetch. I'll only get new mail when I open the mail app. Only mail from icloud will be push automatically.

nope it changes to EDGE when either cant find strong 3G connection or there isn't one I think
