Anyone feel like the 4S vibration is loose? Like it's vibrating A LOT.
Compared to 4 the vibration in 4 is subtle.

I like the vibration thou. Feels more hollow and i can feel the vibration better than my iphone 4

Just wanted to drop a line regarding the battery life for my iPhone 4s:

Battery life seems as per normal. It can pretty much last the whole day without recharging.

WiFi - constantly turned on even though there are no WiFi spots available.
Bluetooth - off
Mobile Data - On.
Notifications - all turned on, except Weather and Stocks Widgets turned off (those consume alot of batt as it constantly polls for data and your GPS location when you swipe down your notifications centre)
Location Services - everything is turned on. Yes, everything. Except under System Services, I have disabled Setting Time Zone. I have also turned on Status Bar Icon, just to spot any hidden system services that seems to be using GPS without my knowledge.
Diagnostics and Usage -> Automatically send (trying to do my part to make iOS more stable smile.gif )
iCloud services - all turned on.
Mail & Calendar - 3 accounts set to Manual, 2 accounts set to Fetch every 1 hour.
Brightness - 45-50%, auto brightness ON.

If you haven't done it already, I think the key thing to do here if you're experiencing battery problems is to turn off Setting Time Zone like what I have highlighted in Bold above. If it's left on, and if you turn on Status Bar Icon, you can see it is constantly accessing GPS. iOS 5.0.1 didn't seem to fix that bug.

Mine is 9A405. Hmm, is the 3G reception in the areas you go to low and does it constantly switch between 3G and Edge?

If it is constantly switching/dropping from 3G to Edge, it consumes slightly more battery.

hmm... I think it is because of that reason.. It did switch between 3G and EDGE frequently.. But it is out of expectation that it consume that fast..

When you close an application, iOS only limits the app to run 7 things in the background if it needs to:

1. Background audio - application continues to run in the background as long as it is playing audio or video content[28]
2. Voice over IP - application is suspended when a phone call is not in progress
3. Background location - application is notified of location changes
4. Push notifications
5. Local notifications - application schedules local notifications to be delivered at a predetermined time[28]
6. Task completion - application asks the system for extra time to complete a given task[28]
7. Fast app switching - application does not execute any code and may be removed from memory at any time[28]

Any applications that uses the features highlighted in bold above will use 3G or Wifi.

VoIP is used for phone calls smile.gif

Push notifications are like when you receive messages / notifications from SMS / Apps.

Voice over IP will be applications like Viber and Skype. So when you do a Viber or Skype call, you can press the home button to close the application and still continue talking on the call because the call is still running in the background.

Push Notifications would be the notifications you get from apps like Facebook (for example) to alert you a friend has added you on Facebook, or posted a comment. Another example of an app is Whatsapp, notifying you that someone sent you a message.

For background location services, an example would be the Reminders app. For example, if you set a Reminder to remind you to buy milk when you leave home, then the Reminders app will constantly look at your GPS location even when the Reminders app is closed. Once it detects from your GPS location that you have left the house, it will send you a notification reminder.

Hope this helps! smile.gif

Haha no worries if you have a data plan. If you don't, wah then every 1 kb is abit painful.
