Looks like the demand for iPhone 4S in KL extremely high. Here in Penang new stocks available in all maxis centre. Was very hot only on the first 2 weeks.

The given answer is :"We must control it in such a way, so that we will not sold out of stock so fast. If sell off too fast, customers will complain."

I really don't see the point.
If you have 1000 unit of IP4S, the max subscriber you can have is 1000 persons, no matter you sell it in a day, a week or a year.
If you can sell them in a day, you get all the money within a day.
And as a customer, i don't think anybody like to hunt for the phone.

I asked the Maxis centre penang main, they said, there's no quota system. Whatever number of units they can get, they will sell it all. The issue is with the allocation they get. Maxis HQ will decide which branch gets how many per day or so.....

Yes is true. I check with my friend who is maxis duty supervisor, they let go what ever they have. There is no stocking level. And they will grap as many customers as possible in a day and every maxis centre will make request for more units from HQ if demand is very high in respective area.

This means Maxis HQ set the quota for them.

Yea stocks allocation will be determined by sales volume of the center.

But one thing I felt they did control the stock sold per day. Imagine if u have to sell as much as possible then when they are totally out and shipment still on its way?

That time really bad and even more frustrating customers hahahaa.

Funny thing.... Called 123 around 2pm today just to check On stock before hunting and they said that all branches (maybe just in kl) out of stock. Donno la, might as well try manually tomorrow morning before give up after 4 straight day searching, missing the chance to queue upon so called new stock arrival at maxis gardens n checking every lunch period...

Very Frustrating.... Especially after hearing my fren bodek2 the staff during iPhone 4 launch period n he pulled out one after saying "no stock". Maybe I shud wear a skirt n flirt....
