I'm also wondering is there any ICS roms that are usable daily?

i have a 5 year warranty and plan to use till this phone expires (the phone, not the warranty), use it till it breaks. I have a galaxy y which is a company phone with company line, plan to use it to do wifi hotspot for my T. Prime when stocks reach here this month.

Not planning to buy another HTC because I hate the display, i swore i won't even consider any HTC devices until they give us a better display. If i need a new phone it would probably be the Nexus, my brother has one and it's just amazing

oh u mean the htc ville, good news then but the design of their phones is still fugly, i know it's a HTC signature but after I've handled the Nexus, although it's made from plastic, but the feel of the thing is just unforgettable, it looks really beautiful and classy. Not to mention i'm kinda addicted to the pure android experience (without the need of rooting and flashing). Somehow I lost all interest in all phones that has it's manufacturer's UI (skin), especially the fugly touchwiz that spoils the beautiful ICS UI, even if the phone has a quad core inside.

i mean rooting to get (flash) vanilla android roms. i'll still root the Nexus if i ever had one, just no need to flash custom roms and can get super fast updates. I'll still keep my DHD if it's still running after 5 years, if it still got custom rom developments going on.

if it's priced so high, no one would buy it, because phones are becoming cheaper and cheaper, it can't compete!

i saw in xda the camera (as usual) and video playback still has bugs, what about other stuff? can be used as daily driver?

what cam app are u using?

just flashed it, so far so good. as for the camera, it's a bit faster than gingerbread one. the only let down is can't do video recording and panorama pics, that's it. ICS is REALLY sweet, but i'm not used to the dialer, can't just press the numbers and ppl names appear, must click the search button to find ppl

i don't have this problem, the range is exactly the same as previously on gingerbread

just flash Ascension rom, it's good as daily driver, just don't use the standard camera app to record video, and don't play videos on the phone, everything else is good

it's more expensive than SPB shell, wonder if anyone would buy it

ICS has a bit of problem in the camera (and some of them video playback) department, other than that, it's almost perfect, it's really worth it

the best for me now is Ascension ICS, although there are a few minor bugs, but overall, it'll beat any gingerbread rom in almost every aspect, especially battery life. not to mention stability and response after long usage with tons of scrollable widgets. i'm never going back to gingerbread after trying out ICS, they aren't even in the same page anymore, ICS is a whole new ball game

actually it has really minimum bugs, if u don't watch videos on the phone, and don't record videos, then it's considered bug free

can't u use a 3rd party camera app? I'm using Ascension and the camera also quite buggy, disable it and now using Camera Zoom FX (which i bought during the 10c promotion), everything is GOOOOOOOD.....

it's way too expensive

do u have any other android phones? if got then u can use it's charger to charge. I'm also using galaxy Y's charger to charge

wifi hotspot doesn't work, that is a deal breaker for me. better use other roms (vanilla) because it works, and Sense 4.0 isn't as intuitive as vanilla, tried it on the One X and I hated it

i'm planning to use my DHD until the next NEXUS comes out, nothing beats the pure android experience

i'm using it, camera, panorama and camcorder works! the only lag i can find on it is in the app drawer widget section, other than that it really is very very good
