I've tried it myself too and yes, its a awesome ROM indeed.
Video recording 720p works flawlessly and camera focusing is OK.

There are some misaligned on the HTC Location though..
And if you check your devices in Google Play website, it registers your DHD as Incredible S
(well, the ROM was ported from that device anyway tongue.gif)

The best thing having ICS is that you can flash Google Now ported from JellyBean.
I've done it and it worked. Even with the voice command.

I guess Im going to stick to this ROM for a while to play around a bit smile.gif

too bad it's a sense rom. i want a vanilla rom.

finally flashed JB rom (Jelly Time) AOKP on my DHD, it ROCKS!

almost everything works, it's not worst than all those ics roms out there. even when installing tons of apps it remains smooth, project butter really makes a difference

serious !  rclxms.gif

gonna try too if have some free time , but its any bug around ? coz sometime real hard survive with bug around !!

and anyone here try ninja fish ? i dont know its DHD problem or games problem , it keep lagging and force close some time . ~ hmm.gif
*
bug of course got loh, but nothing too serious. the panorama function when u r capturing the screen will flicker and some color lines will appear but after processing, the picture quality is not effected, it's still good. video recording works but it's very unresponsive during capturing, it's like the app froze but it's still recording and when u move the camera, the video is laggy, but captured video is still ok.

then there's the alarm volume, some of the default alarms cannot hear if it's ringing, only certain alarm sounds can be loud enough to wake someone. then there's the battery drain during wifi on, i'm not entirely certain yet (just use for 1 day), if wifi on constantly, it'll drain all the battery within 9 hours. other than these minor bugs, i really can't find any faults (yet).

for jb rom which one to go for? aokp jellytime good? just got my phone back from sc now ready to flash ^^
*
it depends on your definition of good. for Jelly Time, if u can live with a couple of bugs stated on previous posts, and a low volume alarm sound, then it's good.

so far, the rom performs like a charm. it almost made the phone feel like a dual core device. actually it has faster responses than a stock galaxy S2 (non G). and i'm not using an empty launcher. i have a lot of live widgets running at the same time. the battery life is so far ok. just make sure your wifi is turned off when u go to sleep, or else it'll drain your battery empty when u wake up. Google now works very well. Camera works superbly. Google fixed the laggy phone and contact activation, previously it'll take a few seconds for the phone or contacts to load up, now it's almost instant. Can't complain.

normal usage like sms and all is working well right? and need flash radio also ma? actually my DHD is my secondary phone dy so some minor bug to enjoy jb is alright ^^ and did u flash kernel too?
*
normal usage all ok, now using it as a daily driver no problem. no need to flash other radio or kernel, just flash the rom and it'll run properly.

anyway, anyone knows whether DHD using OTA updates with latest malaysian firmware can use normal method of rooting or not? need to downgrade? I've not root any DHD for a long time so don't know anything about this, asking for my sis and bro in law both using DHD with official firmware, please give some hints, thank you

the normal method of rooting means?
use visionary?
cannot already..

either you need to downgrade back to old version of firmware

or

you use the new root tool to root your phone from ur computer with cables connected..
*
which one? do u mean the advance hack tool? most of the tools are almost a year old...

edit: OK found the advance hack kit, thanks!

do let us know on battery life. on par to gingerbread and ICS or worse?

battery drain when wifi is left on? not deep sleeping well?
*
i'm using R6 and yes, the wifi will drain battery line there's no tomorrow, must remember to switch it off. if u remember to do this, and also mobile data off if u r not using it, battery can last at least 24 hours easily. I'm using internet commander, so mobile data and wifi will switch off automatically if not in use, only will on back after screen unlock, so it's not such a big problem for me.

I saw in previous page you flashed jellytime.

Which one ya? JellyBean - JELLYTIME for DHD/Inspire4g - R7 Available or AOKP JellyTime Builds - Version 7 available?

Since you said R6, I assume u flashed the first one?, which is actually kang CM10.

as far as I tested, I think i get the wifi batt drain in AOKP jellytime version 7.

Wondering whether Jellybean jellytime R7 will have that problem or not.
*
this one (bold)

isn't AOKP = Kang? since it's short form for Android Opensource Kang Project

R6 and R7 both also based on CM10

mine is R6

about R7 whether having wifi drain problems u'll have to wait for other users here to confirm. i'm perfectly happy using R6 at the moment, currently 16 hours without charging still left around 50% battery.

I thought there's 2 versions currently? (excluding the nightlies)

1) JellyBean - JELLYTIME for DHD/Inspire4g - R7 Available

2) AOKP JellyTime Builds - Version 7 available

Number 1 is aokp based on CM10

number 2 just says AOKP.

So I presume yours is Number 1?

or are they the same thing? same topic starter in both threads anw.  doh.gif
*
sorry i got confused, i downloaded from number 2

and i'm not sure they are both the same or not

no idea for R8 coz i jump to R9.1 now ..

i really hope they can get rid of that camera animation when u take a photo (the one that slides the photo to the gallery), it slows down the entire operation. previously on ICS don't have this animation (in the ROM i'm using, at least) and there is literally no shutter lag at all and fast as hell, now we have to wait for that stupid animation to finish then can only take a second photo. and the panorama flickering is quite annoying although it doesn't effect the photo quality.

but i love the power shutter function on the camera app, easy to take own picture with it, no need to find the software shutter key anymore

anyways, JB is still the sweetest version to use, even with heavy 3d live wallpaper it's much faster than ICS.
