Hey guys, I've noticed some people giving some false info about the white iPhone turning yellow after some time, and I would just like to clarify some things. IT DOES NOT!

I don't know what is it with M'sians and this issue but I get this all the time. Same thing with my PS3, PS 3 controller, iPhone, Osim air purifier, remote control, HTC phone, modem, I can go on forever. I've had some of these things for up to 5 years and they're STILL WHITE.

Even if you think of it logically, why would manufactures make something that would turn yellow after some time? This is not cloth man, this is plastic, and the manufacturers would definitely have anticipated this. As a matter of fact, the white iPhone is better cuz you can't see as much fingerprints compared to the glossy black color. It's glass guys, even there is dirt, you can just wipe it off. It's not like it's cloth or something. Don't put it in a washing machine

That's a very good question. I'm going to tell you something that will definitely surprise many people in this thread. I don't use a case or a screen protector for my iPhone. As a matter of fact, after my 3GS, I never used any cases....EVER. When I first bought my 3GS, it was my second phone, and my first smartphone, so I did what any tech lover/smartphone user would do, I bought a case and screen protector for my beloved iPhone 3GS (White). I spent about RM 100 on screen protector from Machines and another RM 120 for the casing. I changed cases a few times so total spending on cases and screen protectors went over RM 300.

What I noticed though was that the screen protectors was actually damaging my phone. It made scratches on the steel band surrounding the 3GS. I tried both the hard and soft cases btw, same thing. Fact is, as time passes by, the dust accumulates in between the tiny spaces of your phone and the case, this causes some scratching and also some nasty 'slime like' black residue on your phone. Just try taking your phone out of your case after a month or two and you'll know what I'm talking about.

After that, I bought a HTC, Blackberry, and an iPhone 4. No case, no screen protector, they remained beautiful. NOT A SCRATCH. of course you've got to be carefull. Don't put it in pockets with coins or keys, and don't put it on any rough or hard surfaces. If I have to put it on a table I put in on a book (Im a student or something soft, like clothes or on my Gf's soft bag. If u take care of it, then no worries with scratches.

On the other hand, since the iPhone 4 and 4S is made out of glass, depending on where you work, you might want to use a case to protect it if it drops. I almost never drop my phone, so thats ok. If ure the kind of person who drop your phone often, then I advise you to get a case. Otherwise, no need bro

In that case, I'll give you a suggestion. Don't go for the soft covers, they're just bulky, rubbery and accumulate lotsa residue.

Get the hardcover ones that are designed for the 4S. Another thing is, get the hardcover with the soft feel to it. Something like the back of HTC phones. Doesn't feel like plastic but it feels hard and soft to touch. Those are the most popular and I think are the best case you can buy.

Also you can try those bulky leather cases which is awesome. No scratch, and if you drop your phone, the chances of cracking or damage is minimal. Downside though, is that it's bulky and expensive. Hope you make a good buy bro. I understand how u feel.

Well, now I've managed to book the spot already, and I've gotten my MAX I/D. They still haven't sent me the confirmation I/D though. Do you think they'll send it to me on Monday? Alright thanks, but I'm just worried cuz I called the Maxis customer support on Friday and they told me that the last emails will be sent out on Friday. I don't know what which email she was talking about. Maxis is s'posed to send us three emails right. One for the thank you email for registration of interest. Next one is the email to choose the spot. then the last one with the confirmation details is the email I havent received
