Hey guys, I've noticed some people giving some false info about the white iPhone turning yellow after some time, and I would just like to clarify some things. IT DOES NOT! I don't know what is it with M'sians and this issue but I get this all the time. Same thing with my PS3, PS 3 controller, iPhone, Osim air purifier, remote control, HTC phone, modem, I can go on forever. I've had some of these things for up to 5 years and they're STILL WHITE. Even if you think of it logically, why would manufactures make something that would turn yellow after some time? This is not cloth man, this is plastic, and the manufacturers would definitely have anticipated this. As a matter of fact, the white iPhone is better cuz you can't see as much fingerprints compared to the glossy black color. It's glass guys, even there is dirt, you can just wipe it off. It's not like it's cloth or something. Don't put it in a washing machine Just for those who were wondering, cheers |

QUOTE(kaylim @ Dec 11 2011, 10:05 PM) thanks for sharing. Maybe it's a psychological thing buddy. Not sure about that, but my iPhone 4 still looks the same as the day I bought it. I compared using picture from the 1st day and after 6 months i agreed with what u said about the manufacturer. however the yellowish color is probably due to the screen protector (ie sweaty fingers) otherwise my friend's white iphone wouldn't look different as compared to when she first got it. |

Anyone gonna get the iPhone 4S from DiGi? I like their approach, but 24 months contract? and no on the spot subsidy? Hmm, think I'll wait for Celcom and Maxis. |

QUOTE(kaylim @ Dec 11 2011, 10:11 PM) Yes true also. Haha But bro, did u change any sp during that period? And u're using the matte or clear type? Just wanna know if you don't mind That's a very good question. I'm going to tell you something that will definitely surprise many people in this thread. I don't use a case or a screen protector for my iPhone. As a matter of fact, after my 3GS, I never used any cases....EVER. When I first bought my 3GS, it was my second phone, and my first smartphone, so I did what any tech lover/smartphone user would do, I bought a case and screen protector for my beloved iPhone 3GS (White). I spent about RM 100 on screen protector from Machines and another RM 120 for the casing. I changed cases a few times so total spending on cases and screen protectors went over RM 300.What I noticed though was that the screen protectors was actually damaging my phone. It made scratches on the steel band surrounding the 3GS. I tried both the hard and soft cases btw, same thing. Fact is, as time passes by, the dust accumulates in between the tiny spaces of your phone and the case, this causes some scratching and also some nasty 'slime like' black residue on your phone. Just try taking your phone out of your case after a month or two and you'll know what I'm talking about. After that, I bought a HTC, Blackberry, and an iPhone 4. No case, no screen protector, they remained beautiful. NOT A SCRATCH. of course you've got to be carefull. Don't put it in pockets with coins or keys, and don't put it on any rough or hard surfaces. If I have to put it on a table I put in on a book (Im a student On the other hand, since the iPhone 4 and 4S is made out of glass, depending on where you work, you might want to use a case to protect it if it drops. I almost never drop my phone, so thats ok. If ure the kind of person who drop your phone often, then I advise you to get a case. Otherwise, no need bro |

QUOTE(dinozilla @ Dec 11 2011, 10:13 PM) u get RM50+ bill per month vs Maxis's 100+ ...what can complaint le... im gonna study overseas in 6 months, I dont think 2 year contract is suitable for me. At least 6 months I can give to my sis to use. 2 years, she also fly already. How? Don't mind paying more now, than suffer later already shared over n over....within that 2 years, whichever telco u gets is essentially the same but if u hav no issue with digi coverage, and u will use beyond 2yr++, then go digi is good choice |

QUOTE(D.Sync @ Dec 11 2011, 10:26 PM) Been using Maxis and was wondering whether Digi plan will be much attractive compared to Maxis. I'm dissapointed at Maxis as I didn't received any confirmation email after registering for ROI. The only email I get is the Thanks for registering interest. same here. might go for celcom. QUOTE(kaylim @ Dec 11 2011, 10:30 PM) +1 thanks for sharing You're welcome. yes, i understand the part the black thingy residue on the phone when u take off the case after a month or so. but i don't think i can live with assurance without sp/case since it'll be my first expensive phone (i'm a student too). i guess this really leave to personal preference. In that case, I'll give you a suggestion. Don't go for the soft covers, they're just bulky, rubbery and accumulate lotsa residue. Get the hardcover ones that are designed for the 4S. Another thing is, get the hardcover with the soft feel to it. Something like the back of HTC phones. Doesn't feel like plastic but it feels hard and soft to touch. Those are the most popular and I think are the best case you can buy. Also you can try those bulky leather cases which is awesome. No scratch, and if you drop your phone, the chances of cracking or damage is minimal. Downside though, is that it's bulky and expensive. Hope you make a good buy bro. I understand how u feel. People think we students just use our parents money and lead an easy life but they don't know how difficult it really is. Just cuz my parents are rich and I drive a big car, doesnt mean my life is easy |

I think it is possible that Maxis and Celcom might release their plans on Monday, or Tuesday at latest. |

Eidilfitrix, want to ask you something. Remember that time I told you I didn't get the e-mail regarding the booking of the spot and everything. Well, now I've managed to book the spot already, and I've gotten my MAX I/D. They still haven't sent me the confirmation I/D though. Do you think they'll send it to me on Monday? What else am I missing? Thanks for feedback.

QUOTE(Eidilfitrix @ Dec 11 2011, 10:53 PM) May I know when did you did you book for a spot and get your MAX ID? Cause you said you've manged to book the spot. I did in on Saturday, and I book the spot for the afternoon spot of Dec 16th. There's a message that goes something like 'we'll send you a confirmation message' but I haven't received it. Some advice. |

QUOTE(WSL999 @ Dec 11 2011, 10:56 PM) Alright thanks, but I'm just worried cuz I called the Maxis customer support on Friday and they told me that the last emails will be sent out on Friday. I don't know what which email she was talking about. Maxis is s'posed to send us three emails right. One for the thank you email for registration of interest. Next one is the email to choose the spot. then the last one with the confirmation details is the email I havent received |
