Guys, any telco offers for outright purchase?
*
Probably not, at least not on the launch day though. The stocks are limited too, so they'll probably be sold out after the launch periods. You can get it outright from Apple stores though., but you'll have to wait from up to 2-3 weeks for delivery.

but i heard that maxis might allow purchase outright with contract plan bought.
if i bought from apple website, if the phone has problem, does the phone need to send back to them?
*
Hmm, not sure how they deal with that. Unlike in the States, there's no Apple Store here, only authorised retail outlets like Machines, epicentre, etc. Details would be available after launch though.

i wanna ask the bumper. where can i buy them? telco sell them?
*
Telco will definitely sell them, don't worry. That's what they did at the previous Maxis iPhone 4 launch. Besides, you shouldn't worry about iPhone cases. They're Everywhereee, lol.

1 thing u have to note. Some cases made for the i4 may not fit well on the 4S. I once bought an SGP case which happen to be the case
*
Yup, but once the 4S is launched, there'll be ton of those, so there's nothing to worry about. Unlike some motorola models or sony erricson phones, its hard to find cases for that. Not for the iPhone though.

Hopefully they create cases tailored for the 4S. most sellers just put for iPhone 4/4s.  shakehead.gif

Haha, some of those actually work for both. They've got a review of it on Engadget and Gizmodo. I don't have the link cuz it was about two months ago.

Wow, this is turning in a finance thread, but it's a good thing. At least everyone can compare the telco pricing and make a better decision instead of staying loyal to one telco. One thing I've learned in my relatively short life, is that loyalty doesn't pay in business.

Guess we'll have to wait for the Celcom pricing before getting a complete picture of what we're dealing with. If the Celcom plans are better, I'll definitely be headed to La Bodega for my iPhone despite being with Maxis all this while.

Good point there. I'll check with my friend who has an iPhone 4 and see which is better. But I'm pretty much satisfied with the 4S.

@jiro1986, what you say make sense too. Even though I'm using some budget telco, its coverage is really good because it uses the infrastructure of a bigger telco. In fact, it's even better than my Digi line back home. Plus, I use wifi most of the time so it helps to conserve battery life too.
*
Which telco are you using?

Guys I have one question. I'm currently a sub-line under my mum's Maxis account, and I ROI my iPhone4s model with all my detail and my phone number and of course I get a conformation email. But when my mum wants to make me as a main line at Maxis Centre the CS told my mum that even though I have become a main line and got a conformation Email from maxis, but I'm not able to enter to the Maxis iPhone 4s launch hall at KLCC (my mum can) because when i'm register the iPhone 4s ROI i'm still a sub-line under my mum's account, so the conformation Email is for the account holder (my mum) not me!
Its that truth? If thats truth than i'm gonna consider MNP to Celcom...
*
Well, that may be a blessing in disguise cuz the Maxis iPhone plans are a rip-off! RM 100 a month for the cheapest plan? No thanks, I'd take my chances with Celcom too. Hope they don't disappoint. As a matter of fact, some malay blog has leaked their pricing. Can't recall what it is again. Maybe someone here can help me.

Anyone know where I can find the terms and conditions for the Celcom plan? The free SMS is Celcom-Celcom or to all telcos?

Hey guys, I need some help here. For DiGi, they say that the savings from the plans will be given as rebates over the 24 month period.

So say for example, I get the iDigi 88 plan. RM 55 per month. Phone savings is RM 872 for two years. So 872 divide by 24 is around 36. 55 minus 36 is around 19 bucks. Let's just round of to RM 20.

So RM 20 x 24 = RM 480 for 2 years given that no extra charges is incurred?

Anyone care to clarify this for me cuz it seems to good to be true. Thanks!

I tried to call them before but the customer service guy said that they don't have a number. Walk-in only. That's what he said though.

it doesn't work this way. Its rm88 - rm28 = rm 60 , it will be rm55 after autobilling
*
How do I apply for this auto billing thing? What is it anyway? I'm a Maxis customer so I'm not familiar with it, sorry.

To apply this you will need one credit card which your monthly payment will be deducted from your credit card.
*
Oh, alright thanks smile.gif so even without the autobilling it's only RM 60 per month minus the saving of RM 20 approximately = RM 40 per month?
