one thing that our local UAV lack is military grade reconnaisance camera.(since it's a controlled stuff, just like gen 3 nvg)

for now we gota satisfied with consumer grade camera(the one like on cctv).but i heard we got collaboration with south korea rite? so i'm hoping for some samsung military camera

QUOTE(DeFaeco @ Dec 10 2011, 07:25 PM)
Actually, the smoke that comes from the Mig-29's has nothing to do with the fuel mixture.

Nor was it produce from oil/diesel drums commonly carried by stunt/aerobatics aircraft.

It is actually a characteristic of the RD-33 engines that power the Migs. Although they were facing a lot of complains regarding this (due to pilots saying they are able to spot Mig-29's specifically because it leaves a trail of smoke), the engine designers don't look at it as a flaw. According to them, as long as the engine keeps the Migs flying, they don't care how much smoke it produces.

It seems they changed their minds with the latest Mig-35, though. No more smoke trails.

This is what I came across at 1st place

until 2 or 3 years ago, I was in Kuantan AFB visiting a friend, during one of the quarters 1 saw couple of MIG29 taking off going on patrol fully loaded, they make couple of pass at the air base and the smoke was not there
no trail what so ever hmm.gif
