QUOTE(keown83 @ Dec 16 2011, 12:46 PM) typhoon if bae sell to us, got aesa or not? Because BAE can give much more in long term and not to the ATMeditted: ah, atreyuangel answered it liao damn mang...meaning that rafale will be the alternate choice then..but i like typhoon but to the industry as well, Gomen look at this QUOTE(yinchet @ Dec 16 2011, 01:17 PM) Kalau tak silap saya AEW&C is still open and not really tied up with the MRCA project. btw I'm still doubtful on we getting E2D. SH+E2D is the deal offered to ATM by the Government of US the main contender before the the counter of BAE with T3+EADS+Parts manufacture locally+business deals+etc! |

QUOTE(encore83 @ Dec 16 2011, 04:45 PM) 4 is good while 8 is a bonus.+ TUDM love the figure 8 1 E2D is enough to cover the whole peninsular including SG, some part of Indon and Thailand ![]() a pal of mine in C41SR says sometime they can detect the scanning beam of SG AEW until North or Malaysia. That shows how powerful an AEW is! This post has been edited by atreyuangel: Dec 16 2011, 06:17 PM |

QUOTE(Naskah @ Dec 18 2011, 06:16 PM) Boeing reveals advanced Super Hornet options apa lagi boeing.. make a bid alreadyBoeing has unveiled a series of advanced options for international customers of the F-18 E/F Super Hornet, including conformal fuel tanks, a pod for the internal carriage of weapons, an internally-mounted infrared search and track (IRST) sensor, and enhanced engine performance. The new options could be available for Super Hornets delivered from 2015 onwards, though the options can be retrofitted to Block II versions of the aircraft, says Boeing. The options are currently in the "concept definition phase." Boeing says that one of these options, 15-20% improved performance for the aircraft's two General Electric F414 engines, was offered to India in the medium multi-role combat aircraft (MMRCA) competition. The conformal fuel tanks will be able to carry up to 3,000lbs of additional fuel, while reducing the aircraft's drag and improving its lift, says Boeing. The IRST sensor will be slung under the nose to the gun bay door. While US fighters typically don't have an internal IRST capability - instead relying on AESA - IRST is stipulated in India's MMRCA request for proposals. The Super Hornet is one of six MMRCA contenders. The other aircraft are the Saab JAS 39 Gripen, Lockheed Martin F-16 Block 60 Super Viper, RSK MiG-35, Dassault Rafale, and Eurofighter Typhoon. India is likely to announce a shortlist later this year. sorry if serowpoke btw anyone saw Rafale segment in RTM1? looks like all are rooting for Rafale... gudbai typhoon! |
