QUOTE(yinchet @ Dec 16 2011, 01:15 PM) EF AESA radar is still on development expected to available in 2015. hmm...seems legit..no wonder they promote kaw2 in LIMA recently...maybe they urgently need a foreign cash-cow to support their r&d..easy money i shud say... worst still they still lack of funds to developed their TVC which is y they so eager to find buyer for their EF which is also adding potential international partner for additional funds. CFT is still underdevelopment as well. If you read what Rafale is going to offer reads the Rafale brochure. it was the best offers among all the fighter. These definitely open up the windows to developed our own version of BVR, AGM, JDAM. the french's offer...can we trust them? This post has been edited by keown83: Dec 16 2011, 03:39 PM |

Scrap the 4.5th gen fighter and welcome the future F-35. With the hefty price tag on both the EF Typhoon and Rafale, it makes more sense to purchase the inevitable future proof JSF.
With Japan moving in the F-35 group cycle, the economy of scale for the F-35 should be reduce significantly. We can place our order when money is made available in 2015. For the interim measure, trade those Migs for more Sukhois and split them into 2 squadrons. |

QUOTE(keown83 @ Dec 16 2011, 12:46 PM) typhoon if bae sell to us, got aesa or not? Because BAE can give much more in long term and not to the ATMeditted: ah, atreyuangel answered it liao damn mang...meaning that rafale will be the alternate choice then..but i like typhoon but to the industry as well, Gomen look at this QUOTE(yinchet @ Dec 16 2011, 01:17 PM) Kalau tak silap saya AEW&C is still open and not really tied up with the MRCA project. btw I'm still doubtful on we getting E2D. SH+E2D is the deal offered to ATM by the Government of US the main contender before the the counter of BAE with T3+EADS+Parts manufacture locally+business deals+etc! |

"these is the parts that made me very interested with rafale. there will be no worries about embargo" QUOTE(rastablank @ Dec 16 2011, 03:25 PM) Scrap the 4.5th gen fighter and welcome the future F-35. We can place our order when money is made available in 2015. For the interim measure, trade those Migs for more Sukhois and split them into 2 squadrons. some simulation they run. SU-35 pawned F-35. Anyway if government want to go for F-35. not bad also. since the room for improvement in the F-35 is quite huge as well. QUOTE(encore83 @ Dec 16 2011, 04:45 PM) whole country would at least need "minimum 8units".4units on standby another 4 on duty. AEW&C can cover up to 400km IINM. 2 on duties 2 on standby for peninsular; 1 on duties 1 on standby for sabah; 1 on duties for serawak, IMO |
