LANGKAWI 10 Dis. - Pameran Udara dan Maritim Antarabangsa Langkawi (LIMA) edisi ke-12 pada 2013 akan diadakan pada Mac berbanding Disember pada 11 LIMA yang diadakan sejak 1991 hingga tahun ini.

Menteri Pertahanan, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi berkata, LIMA 2013 dijangka diadakan pada 26 hingga 30 Mac setelah mengambil kira permintaan para peserta.

tbh, i think malaysia should not invest in high end aircraft.
we should invest in mid range aircraft and buy in quantity.
once we have minimum 200 aircraft than we shouuld buy expensive aircrafts

lolz.
depend on the doctrine used by the RMAF.
its like quality over quantity.
RMAF is more to quality.

IMO, we should get another 18 SU-30MKM. + 18 from MRCA.
thus we will have 36 SU-30MKM + 18 MRCA + 8 hornet.
We also need MPA aircraft and AESA aircraft.
with these our airforce will be good to go.

Yeah, but what good is 18 high quality, 4.5/5th generation fighters when you have to go against 30, 40 or 50 3rd/4th generation aircraft?

We still need a significant amount of planes to properly implement that doctrine. This is to ensure all of our fly-boys/girls get ample amount of time flying.

Airframes only provide 10% of the combat effectiveness. The other 90% comes from the pilots. Right now we don't have enough airframes to go around for the amount of pilots we have.

Not enough flight time = inexperience pilots. This was demonstrated perfectly by that video of the veteran pilot in a t-38 trainer against the F-22 pilot who was still getting used to the aircraft.

How come the turret is located further to the back? Wouldn't that restrict its front firing angle and taking up space in the back cabin and restrict troop getting in and out? Any insights are welcome. Thanks.
