i just downgrade from turkbey rom from 29.3 to 29.2
it seems that the latest turkbey rom with siyah gt kernel having some problem with the external sd mounting problem
ever since change to v29.2 i didnt get the warning that sd card have been remove anymore

i try it tonite..
see how for tomorrow morning..

then overclock to 1.6 also no problem

if you read all the forum posts like me, you'll notice that most people who complaining FC/hang issue are actually those that using stock rom, without root.. i dunno why also.. maybe those people who root and use custom roms are the techie type that knows what they are doing and hence less problems/got problems also know how to solve themselves therefore no need to ask here

so in ur opinion SGS2 G stock not worth buying?

getting dizzier to decide... might just go for sgs+ but still unsure

maybe those using custom rom have been customize by the respective developer to be much more stable than stock rom therefore less frequent of problem occur?

Hi, i'm an G user and have been using it for 2 months. Unrooted and stock ROM. Initially i did face the camera freeze issues once in a while but after updated to 2.3.6 it's perfectly fine and no more freeze. Others, so far so good. No problem at all and never send to service/repair. Maybe other users have different opinions but it work great for me. Better if u can get a non-G version but G version should be good enough for u since u prefer original set and stock rom

S plus not really worth buying.. lack of support..

I'm using G version too. Stock rom, not rooted, Android 2.3.6... no problems.

else u may want to consider an ori used galaxy s2 non g set? price out thr ranges from 1300-1600 depends on condition n etc..not a bad choice though..

im using s2g set, 3 weeks in and i've sent my phone to "repair/service". problems are as mentioned. hang, freeze, auto off etc. sad transition from iphone4...

Well, I've also had my share of such stuffs but not that frequent to render it 'unusable' and needing it to be sent to the hospital. So, how bad is it?

u can go rooted + stock ROM + stock kernel...
That was what I was on when I first bought S2.. non g user here.

Me too migrate from iphone 4.have to say ios is still better n much more stable. For android I do encounter more data network connection, freeze not so often but guess have to learn to live with it. Try download some keyboard like iphone keyboard free or ICS keyboard free are both much better than the default keyboard. Some software that give u problem just uninstall them will do. I found Cpu set software like setcpu and Cpu tuner will destabilize the os. Should avoid. Try not update flash player.
S2 is not all bad. I guess is hard for me to go back to 3.7 " iphone. Hopefully iphone5 will have at least 4.3" screen. S2 video playback resolution is awesome.

TO SUM IT UP ANDROID IS NOT FOR EVERYONE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE JUST AN AVERAGE USER THAT DO NOT LIKE TO TWEAT OR FLASH

its actually not that bad. maybe user problem (im quite the perfectionist). maybe also prior to switching, i've read so much hype abt the galaxy S 2 and my expectation flew sky high.

but in all honesty, i've nv experience that with my iphone 3g and iphone 4, so perhaps those have set my standards and expectation pretty high.

nevertheless, i'm considering selling it off and getting back an iphone.. haha.

i also agree, the screen size is phenomenal... hahahaha
